I'm gonna try to have mine replaced too.
The oil problem is not that bad on mine, only on the lower left ab, but wiping it twice a day is annoying as hell.

I received this email from my dealer has this worked for anyone else> thanks.
e, of cause HT will do it. Send the photoes with the oil leak of your figures to [email protected]
Send all the figures you purchased, well the one with problems.
Just told them that you have bought the figure 1 by 1 and all have problems.
They will know you are a valueble customers for sure and get them exchange for you.
Follow my steps:
1. Send email with pictures of the problematic part and ask for exchange.
2. They may send you a email and ask you for receipts.
3. Let me know I will get the receipts for you. But DO NOT SEND THEM THE PAYPAL PAYMEN RECEIPTS.
4.Once they got the receipts, they will arrange the exchange for you.
5.Keep me informed with any further notice and updates.

I have 2 customers successfully get it exchanged already. So should have no problem.

By the way, did you get the link I send to you of the Whiplash Pre-Order?

Best regards
Guo Bei

I sent them a Paypal receipt, mine is being replaced as I type.
?

And I thought all your DX's were oil free? Especially that one you were selling on ebay?

Why are Paypal receipts bad? I had to make one with my dealer (not eBay) because their credit card machine was broken down.

Well I've had my new replacement body for 2 weeks now and some oil has appeared in the lower abs area. It's hardly noticeable though and nothing in comparison to what the previous body was like.
As they wrote in their email, the problem has been greatly improved but not completely fixed.

Thanks for posting that.

Is there any recourse for someone who didn't buy this from a dealer?

Also, how long is it taking to receive the replacements?

I am not sure on why no paypal receipts but I will listen I just want these figures replaced. I will let you know when I get a email back from HT.

You are selling faulty DX02s on eBay for over the normal price as Fault Free. You should be ashamed of yourself. What a juvenile and selfish thing to do. Good luck in the collectors COMMUNITY...

I got mine from eBay, HT are replacing it. Just email them and if u don't get the answer u want point it out to them that this is a manufacturing fault not a retail one. Give it a try anyway. They seem to be a little hit and miss. Good luck!

With all this talk of "replacements" am I to assume that HT has fixed the oil problem with the DX bats currently being produced? Otherwise you're just hoping the replacement isn't also a part of the leaking majority...Just curious since I'll be getting mine in May/June...would be nice not to have to worry about this nonsense

I took my figure off ebay I am not selling any TDK-DX02 on ebay since I saw the oil. That email was from my dealer, I am trying to get my figures replaced. Read before you post negative comments. Thanks

No, thank you. For exposing yourself on here. Maybe you should read the rest of this thread ( especially the posts about you ) before you post. We can all read, unfortunately for you. Bye bye now..

That is the reason why I haven't went through with mine. Look at Dark_Spidey's post.

Nobody's has been 100% cured yet.

The day somebody goes 2 - 4 - 6 months with no oil I guess you could say it's pretty much fixed. We don't even know yet if the oil is just sitting dormant with the sponges.

Nothing is certain yet.

Noted, thanks. :(

For those who have received replacement bodies...how long did the entire process take? What kind of shipping method does HT use when sending the figure back? Do they need a printed copy of the receipt?

Apologies if this has all been covered already, but I tried emailing HT CS and their closed until Tuesday.

I haven't received mine yet, but regarding the receipt I just emailed them a screen grab of my Paypal receipt.

How is their CS to work with? Also, where there any other issues with yours, or only the oil?

I found CS friendly if a little automated. Standard answers sent out to many. And yes I had two other minor faults, a tiny flash of back molding in the eye socket and a slightly dodgy seam on the cape. I contacted them mainly about the oil though. I think if you keep replying to their mails (friendly, respectful but strong) You seem to get somewhere with them. I have not received my DX02 back yet but I will post when I see how I get on.

Best of luck with yours.
