Sallah, Marion and Shorty are all crucial characters to Indy and should've been produced before the break. There's nothing really taxing about any of them save the headsculpts. As for Marion, I think most, already content with bodyswaps would've been happy to get her even on the female buck which could've been easily hid by the bar outfit anyway.

You're preaching to the choir. To me they're all crucial and I'll buy everyone, but I couldn't agree more. Sallah and Marion would have really given us a great core from ROTLA.

A Club Obi Wan and Young Indy would be great too....:banana :D

Someone suggested a DX style Indy. Wouldn't that be cool? I could see that working for TOD. Tux and hatless head, HT Wolverine like body and a set of adventure gear including a head with an accurate bigger hat from that film, a torn up shirt, sword, sankara stone etc.... Might give SS the chance to charge more which could offset the costs of using a HT body....

This is a great idea! Sideshow would also likely see an increase in sales since most of us would buy two or more!

A TOD DX would be great and worth the long stretches between releases!

Although their mentioning the Pro upgrade for future Indy releases is both great and frustrating! With the taller pro, the oversized noggins will finally look well-proportioned!

Well, I bought a German Indy head (that's now on a Map Room Indy bash to help hide the head size) and I swapped out the German cap for a fedora from a ROTLA Indy.... Long story short the German Indy head with fedora still looked big on a TT...

Anyway, if they do go forward I'd really like for them to make well sized heads...

A DX Indy would blow. We'd spend the next few years wiping off the oil discharge from the rubber body of a $180 (probably more with LFL licensing) figure as it ruins the shirt while HT refuses to recognize the problem.

Stick the knife in and twist :D

:lol Hey, just pointing out the reality of the situation which by your sig, you understand. People cry for DX while not knowing the issues HT's facing ATM (Flos just got into HT). Plus, a DX usually comes after a couple basic MMS releases first so there's money to be milked before the DX would ever see the light of day.

:lol No, I meant that in Ask SS someone mentioned the possibility of SS doing a DX-like Indy... Here:

Also, if it’s not dead, would Sideshow consider the Hot Toys DX route and include a different outfit change with a figure?

We do have plans to continue the line, but we don’t have a firm timeframe to share with you. A deluxe Indy could be very interesting!

But I like the way you worked in the "oil discharge" of the DX Bats... :lol I had that thing on order for about a week before I cancelled.... the original TDK outfit is just fine by me.... And no, I don't want HT to produce a DX Indy.

Well, from what I saw, it looked like SS was considering the option of tapping HT for that. And while there are definitely benefits to having an Indy with all the bells, whistles and PERS, the pricepoint and the oil leakage would prevent a LOT of people from either buying or making the impulse purchase and then flooding these forums and HT's customer service with drama.

No, not my point at all. I just mentioned HT for the use of their bodies and/or helping SS develop bodies as was done with the SS armor body and the Hobbit body. TBH if SS didn't mention a possible collaboration with HT as a possibility in developing the TOD Indy and Mola Ram I wouldn't have ever brought it up.... Also, PERS is nice but I really don't need such a gimmick added to my figures. As far as everything else that SS has done, sculpts, clothing, accessories, I've been totally happy.... I just want more of it! :rock

BTW, my KOTCS Indy can't get here soon enough.

The strategy of releasing more 1/6 INDY figures in sporadically themed "bursts" sounds good... it's what they should have done from Day 1.

Depends on what figures. Seems like they don't have their finger on the pulse of Indy collectors which means, Sapito and Nazi thug, or Temple guard and random Indian villager, Hitler and one of those Grail guards, etc.

And what exactly are these "bursts" going to be like? Is it going to be 3 figures announced and PPO'd all in one month? Or is the "burst" going to be 3 figures in one quarter? In one year? Bursts sound like a good idea until they all end up arriving at the same time and some of us have to cancel cos we can't pay for 3 figures in the same month (plus any other items from different lines).

Probably like a single figure every two years. :lol

:lol You're probably right. Which is fine if the figures that they do put out are worth the wait. Otherwise interest will completely wane with lackluster releases every 6 months.

3 figures spread over a year would be cool...

That would likely only last a couple more years at that rate. My earlier post being sarcastic, I'm betting we'll see two per film over the next year if, and a strong emphasis on IF, we see any more at all.
