I think the BillyB comes closer though lighting etc could have an impact :p

WOW, that does look better!

Not sure which is closer in terms of the pattern scale, (one's to small and one's too big) but the color is much better.
The fit looks much better as well!!! The DX shirt looks downright baggy in comparison!

How do I contact this mythical Billy B?

Fit is actually pretty similar. Just I had DX shirt rolled up for the cell scense before so it's just a bit crumbled up :p You can find BillyB member name under Community->Member List and just PM him. Be patient with him though ;)

Before I contact him, would you mind telling me what he charges for the shirt and for the tie?

PM me if you don't want it public.

Just contact him and say you're interested in getting a shirt and or tie and how much would they be.

It's not a good idea for people to share prices they pay people for things, sometimes different people get different prices, whatever the case, but it should be the sellers control what they charge someone.

Don't worry, I did not know him before I contacted him and the price he offered I was quite surprised, but this was my first custom clothing so I had no idea how much these were suppose to be but to me it seemed very reasonable especially after receiving it and realizing how much is involved :p Just be patient with him as it took a while for him to get back to me and eventually to make it and ship it but I can;t imagine this work to be any easier than my making cases :)

Having owned both, the DX is more overly accurate. The billyb has it's plus's but DX all fitted up in the purple suit is just more screen accurate

It's not a good idea for who, exactly?

sometimes different people get different prices

And how exactly is this generally fair, decent, or something that should be encouraged?

it should be the sellers control what they charge someone.

Sharing prices does not prevent a seller from charging whatever he desires. Nobody is taking that control from sellers, and sellers (like buyers) are always free to walk away.

Someone may have helped him out with items before, and perhaps he wants to give them a bit of a deal or something. It's basically just rude to go around announcing things like that, prices i mean, it's between the seller and buyer only

Exactly, whatever reasons a seller might have for varied pricing, for private sales like this stuff, it should be at the seller's discretion what a person is charged for their work. If they want to committ to a price accross the board for something, most will post a thread and say, offering this for $____, but if the prices aren't made public by the seller, then they shouldn't be made public.

This is why I suggested that Geil may want to PM me rather than make it public.

But contacting the seller directly is better, I agree.

...just didn't want to wait forever forever after all the talk of being patient with BillyB.

Now I'm having second thoughts anyway.

I guess because both are not exactly accurate but on two sides of the variance the opinions will be different and come down to your personal preference. I intend to use mine with just the vest as otherwise I would not have picked this up, be a shame to waste this nice piece hidden under layers of clothing only to show the collars. As for screen accuracy I think the pictures can be a good indicator of what you are getting. I have not tried it with the vest nor jackets yet but as i said I will only put the vest on eventually and for that look the shirt IMO shines and is closer especially since the patterns are less coarse

I have one of BillyB's revised darker shirts, just received today from Lforigno - the colour is much more screen accurate and I'll be using this for my interrogation setup joker. Agree that the size of the hexagons is a bit too small on BillyB shirts, but i think on the DX they're a bit too big - real size to my eyes is in between the two

That's why I prefer Billy's, the hexagons may not be big enough, but they're smaller than the HT shirts and the pattern is busier. When I think of Ledger's Joker shirt, I think of this busy pattern of hexagons and the HT shirts just look so big, the pattern is a bit lost to my eyes. As long as people have a shirt they're happy with, that's what counts.
