HCG 1:1 Alien Bust!!!!

The dome should be clear on the production piece. The proto you are seeing pictures of had to be modified by the painter. The eyes are actually painted on the inside of the dome in the photos you are looking at. I believe there was some damage to it when it was being shipped to the painter, so they had to apply some emergency 'make-up' to it because it was going to be displayed at Wonderfest immediately after paint-up.

I spoke with Dan Cope, the painter of the proto bust, at Wonderfest and he explained this exact situation.

The production piece should look significatly different as far as the dome and under-dome details are concerned.

HCG Alien Life Size Bust.

Ok, Guys... one word: IMPRESSED. now it is time to reveal the most awaited scans of HCG Alien Life Size bust. I am very pleased with the outcome from sculpt, paint and likeness without doubt (if compared to proto pcs)
Now I can eat and sleep well really.

Not to be a naysayer, but does the mouth look a bit off? Seems like the upper lip (spot between the teeth and dome) is a bit too thick, or maybe just smooth and kind of gives it an odd look to me.

So glad I passed on this Alien. The tail looks dinky its the color of rust. Not a fan of the sculpt or paint. It looks like HCG to me. Not a bad price considering what other life size Alien pieces cost, but I think PredAlien will rape this bust.

I have no love for this bust. If a bust of the Magee 1:1 was made, I'd gladly pay $1k for it but, not this..

Hey Amin Ko...it doesn't look like anyone else has brought this up, but it looks like part of your bust did not get painted.

You can see the area in the first pic compared to the same area on the opposite side of the head.

There's some paint missing there.

Hmmm...Just canceled my pre-order.
I hope it was the right decision.
I just saw the pictures above and I guess the bust looks ok. But ok is not great. It´s just ok. And a bust priced that high should look better to me.
I also have the Predalien bust on pre-order and I think it´s the better choice to keep this.
I hope that I don´t regret it later...
