It's a shame most people finding it disappointing, but I think it's shot at an angle that might not show it's best likeness.
For me the jury is out until I see a full face on pic.

I'm sure this will go through some changes before final product anyway

Likeness is great, the expression is the problem. It's not Aldo Rain trademark expression. The idea is a movie character figure & not a Brad Pitt on a set of "Inglourious Basterds"

Of course it is possible, but the discussion is about current situation.
And Leonidas is not a great example also, the second head is far-far from perfect.
But don't get me wrong bro, I'm 100% with you. I really like Hot Toys products & I also think that there will be a nice addition aka "second head with an outstanding Aldo-Basterd" expression, but for this moment - we only have great likeness of Brad that awaits Quentin's "ACTION!!!!" on the set

Well... I've been looking forward to seeing pics of this fig since the moment HT announced they had the license...

Maybe I have been looking too forward to this... I can't say I'm really dissapointed, but I just think it's a pity they didn't give him his iconic Aldo Raine expression...

It's also a bit of a weird angled picture... He looks a bit sad, I guess...

The sculpt his definitely Brad Pitt! No arguing there. The sculpt looks amazing and here in this larger pic Wookster posted the eyes don't look "dead" either.
I can imagine it was a tough job for HT, since we had to wait for pics this long...
The scar on the neck looks great too!

I can't wait to see more pics of the entire figure and to see what accessories he comes with!

I can only hope he'll come with a second headsculpt with the iconic Aldo look.

Why so many people don't like King leonidas headsculpt, I can see 90% Gerard Butler likeness.

i know you shouldn't really have to on a figure costing this much, but we do have the option of swapping out with alex lopex's amazing custom sculpt. but i hope HT fixes this, and they usually do when there's this much criticism (except for the alien, before you big chap guys kills me).

The only thing 'worrying' me is, because there has been such a wait for this, they may be so far in production and ready to get this out the door, there may be no time/option for a sculpt revision.

Sure hope I'm wrong.

likeness does look off but knowing hot toys they'll release him first then make us get the dx version for the screamin leonidas and then a version with the white tux and different expression for aldo.

Couldn't do much about the eyes without deforming them completely, they're just so.. sad.
