Lucky you! Did you have the sealant put on your back teeth? I wish I had that done.
Not to alarm you or anything, but my dad had perfect teeth, no cavities then all of the sudden he was having trouble with his eyesight. To make a long story short, the roots of his teeth all turned black and he had to have all his teeth cut out. They looked perfect from the outside, but they were poisoning his system.

I did have sealants put in several times, eventually they work themselves lose. When I was younger, Now-N-Laters were my favorite candies and chewing on those would rip the sealants out. My parents eventually banned me from having them, because every time I went to the dentist, they'd have to pay for me to have more sealants put in. I go to the dentist regularly. They do x-rays of my teeth every time - no rotting, not yet, at least!
Sucks for your dad, though. I would be so sad without my teeth. For the past 6 months or so, I've had weird pains behind my right eye. I think it may actually be related to my wisdom teeth, which I need to have removed soon.

I was very young when it happened. All I know is when they x-rayed his teeth, they found the roots were all dark, yet his teeth were perfect. It was affecting his eyes. The doctor suspected it, so it must be common or something he knew about. I know your canine or eye teeth are somehow connected to your eyes. Some people actually get black eyes from having them pulled.

There are a few different things that can happen.
Two that I have seen are:
1) Bells Palsy - This is a paralizing of one side of the face due to dental-type inflamation affecting facial nerves.
2) Abscessed tooth - Infection can enter the bolod stream and may, possibly, cause major problems in the entire body including brain damage and death.
