Here's a pic of me next to the Ark from the film. It's the exact same Ark as seen in the photo above of the German carrying it. I'm 5'10" and you can see it's not that tall. I think SS did make it just a bit too big.

Yup, too big. Agent5's pic is correct. I guess we just assume the Ark should be this massive thing, but clearly the film one was not.


And 1:4 Ark is chance for SS to get it right, but I shudder at the price. $349?

UPDATE: SSC ARE WORKING ON A 1:4 SCALE ARK OF THE COVENANT! They just said so in the presentation video up know. No pictures or anything BUT DOOM BRIDGE DIORAMA IN PROGRESS!

Probably pretty big, if you have the Indy PF image a ark next to it. Would be a pretty decent size. I am too lazy to get the dimensions and calculate it out.

Hasbro's the way to go. The Ark in the pic with Agent5 isn't all too dissimilar from the Hasbro one either.

I just received my Hasbro Ark and am quite impressed! I expected it to be a lot cheaper-looking, but the only thing that looks cheap about it are the poles. I'll hit up Home Depot this weekend, find some dowels, taper the edges and give 'em some paint. Are the three cuts towards the end of Sideshow's poles screen-accurate? If so, I'll add those, too. Now if only I could find the fabric Sideshow made, I'd have a darn near-perfect Ark!

Ditto that. We're supposed to be getting processing notices this week, but I need to push this off til after August 9 so it'll go on my next statement. If it's processed before that, I'll just cancel him and re-order him on the 10th.

For those looking for a Hasbro Ark on Ebay, I've noticed a few lately that were going for less than $50! When you consider this "free" mail-away actually cost $80 in toys and $10 shipping, this is a great deal! It's ironic that since SS released their version, the price has dropped on these!

Probably people are getting restless and want to get rid of them. Although I wouldn't say that most people necessarily spent $80 + $10 to get it, since it was possible at the end to get the figures on clearance and still apply for the ark.

O.K., to SOME it cost $90. To others, not so much. Regardless, if you need one for $44 plus shipping, there are two listings on Ebay.
