I'm thinking there might be a scenario where you can order this right up to the time it ships without it selling out. Time will tell.

Here's where I stand.

If it turns out either version requires a deposit, I will without question order the Ex.

If only the Ex. version requires a deposit, then it'll come down to whether or not I really care about getting the stand, if I don't feel it adds enough to front the money now I'll pass.

Whatever scenario I go with, I am going to order this thing.

That's pretty much my feelings as well. Hopefully if it doesn't go up for preorder this weekend, we'll at least know more about the stand soon.

I think if the exclusive was the cape like in the Grievous PF then it would be a madhouse. As it is, the exclusive should remain low with the help of that deposit.

So tru, yeah I hope this doesn't go this weekend otherwise I might have to wait a few days before I gather a deposit down. Don't exactly want to rip funds from the bank account and rather sell something if I need to put $250 down.

I did just get funds from eBay in the amount of $160, so only $90 more bones to go and I have a guy sending payment on wed for about $300. So if it just stays within those days Vader could be a dream come true!

I could see Sideshow being of 2 minds on this... try and get orders now while people are still recovering from how cool it is, rather than let interest wain. Or giving collectors time to organize funds and make a decision, which would hopefully lead to less cancellations.

Personally, showing a piece then 2-3 days later putting up for order and requiring a $250 deposit feels a bit rushed.

Odds are though, if there's a required deposit, it's not going to sell out quickly because people will sit to figure out when/if they can do that and all.

Vader will be the fastest selling Star Wars 1:1 since Maul I think, but I still think it will take a bit of time if a deposit is required, especially for both editions.

Question is, how limited is the Exclusive, 100 pieces, 50, that'll be a big factor too.

Tru I was thinking same thing as in how much time we actually have if we needed to wait a few days with the ES maybe being low. Once the low quantity hits, OMG!!!!!!

Sideshow should also consider that those preordering are taking a leap of faith of sorts. The eyes on Grievous 1:1 bust did not look like the final piece. They looked acceptable but nowhere near as good.

if you ask a deposit, you better deliver the goods on the production piece. A low ES for the exclusive would also make you feel a bit better about paying full price jsut to get a stand.

I do wish the stand had the neck portion, as that would have made it a must-have, but might as well go whole hog
