Well Im glad I didnt take the "naysayers" advice and am playing and enjoying it. Im not here to convince anyone to change thier minds or make them feel stupid for having differnt opinions, but I would advise anyone who has not played the Twin Snakes to give it a try.

Its a nice take on very good classic! $30 used seems a worthwhile price for it.

congrats on your acquisition, but watch out for the token PS3 d-bag he will immediately cause your system to catch on fire.

Just completed this (just got a ps3).....this game was badass

Loved every bit of it though some of the cut scenes were long

Na, I was really excited to play it, but I worked from 7:30-4 everyday and went to class 4 nights a week wehn the game came out. So all my free time was taken up with studying. And then the summer I still worked and took a Saturday morning class and then this semester has been crazy with me trying to get this new job in DC.

And I like to play games with my friends when I do have any free time to play, so this kept getting shoved to the back burner.

But I think I have this weekend free so I'm gonna jump into it.

Another question for you all: I've only played MGS1 (and never even got around to beating it. Yes, I know. :lol)

MGS4 is a game I've wanted for a while and is on sale this week for a good price. Will I be able to play and appreciate this game, not knowing about the previous 3 installments???

Best Buy has it on sale for $30, so for that price, it's kind of hard for me to turn down. I don't see it going much lower than that for a while.

I downloaded the demo for it months back and was just in awe of the gameplay. Granted I don't know much about the character etc, but I'm hoping as a stand alone, it's worth it. Thanks for the reply!

hey! 30 bucks is a great price, definately get it! once you finish it you'll wanna go back and finish mgs1 and buy part 2 and 3.........if you can handle lengthy cutscenes that is!!!! :lol

Well, I hope this one doesn't disappoint. From some of the posts I've read, I don't think it will. Then, one day, I can hopefully get around to the others! :lol
