nope, it looks to have been abandoned in the conceptual phase. the made them for the factory sequence but called them 800's

How many people are considering canceling their HT t-700 pre-orders because of this? i've seen the rumor about a salvation T-800 and it doesn't seem unlikely and i'm considering cancelling my t-700 to save some funds for now and perhaps pick him up later

i'm keeping mine either way. i'd like to showcase the evolution of the termos from a - z
kinda like the iron man armors.

Dudes, I need ur opinion.

Which paint job is more film accurate for the T700s (or T800s) which are in the terminator factory in the TS movie? (note not the arnold terminator)

Come on guys opinions please..................

Well, I haven't seen T4 yet but correct me if I'm wrong - there are Terminators with that rough surface texture in the film aren't there, even if they don't have a major starring role. And sure they may not be 700s afterall...but if they are there then I don't see a reason people have to cancel their 700s. The only problem is Hot Toys have misnamed them.

edit- which I've just realised Gaylord is not what you're actually asking..must have been someone else. I don't know which paintjob is more accurate having not seen the film.

Hard to say... lighting is different in both pics. I do think I prefer the look of the 2nd one though.

Production photos show them being much lighter and shinier than the Hot Toys figure, but if they have to be different from the original 800s with texture, than it doesn't actually bother me that they are more of a gunmetal look.

Lighter is more accurate, but take out the wash in the pits of the texture. The drybrush effect is way wrong.

May be just me, but I'm pretty sure they are the same, they're just in different lighting..........

I think the 2nd one looks really awesome, but I don't think there was a t-700 in the movie just t-600 and t-800, so I cant say which is more accurate

I think I prefer the second photo since the endo looks angrier and not so happy. I think the paint job is pretty much the same though , just in different lighting.

Here's the answer to the question of the day. Just make it look like these and it's accurate no matter what friggin' series it is.

Another prime example of Hot Toys' habit of over-texturizing like the AVP bios.

You should be asking which photo is better. I don't think it's a different paint job, and I'm guessing you're not sure yourself either.

One of a local customizer is offering the repaint service. Have to admit....the light and pose are different...but it sure is a different paint job

Well, they both look good, but he needs to take some better photos...or at least more than one of the finished product.
