Sean (MaulFan) needs to wake up and see these. This will make his day. :banana

They have indeed, I was glad to have a half day at work due to snow yesterday so I could go home and stare at the toy world shots.

This is going to be a great figure to work with between the visuals and the duality of the character. While in Nolan's film, it was basically just Dent and putting his faith in chance, I may uses photos to play on the split personality concept of Harvey and Two-Face.

So noisetrigger is this the accessory list: 1 body, 1 tie/shirt/pair of pants/shoes, 2 heads, 4 hands, 2 jackets, 2 coins, 1 gun, 1 "I believe in Harvey Dent" button, and the stand. Sound about right?

that's what I wanted to ask..two suits, two heads, one body etc...

Yes, that's correct. Easily the least impressive of the HT TDK line in terms of accessories but easily one of their best overall.

I have Harvey Dent next to me now and it's amazing how realistic he looks. The 'skin' tech HT is using is just amazing!!! This is one figure where it is worth it to just get another one to display as Two-Face. Both sculpts are so good that I have trouble deciding how I should display him, Harvey Dent or Two Face?

Interesting you say that. To me, outside of BR Joker, they've all been fairly light on the accessories, and the first Joker being the weakest, at least Harvey includes things seen on screen, the first Joker had a knife, the cards, and then money that was never even seen in the film, to me he was weakest in accessories.

Whats with the eyeliner?

Not really anything new. Hot Toys has always put simulated eyelashes on figures and have been progressing on toning it down with males. Figures 2-3 years ago had almost feminine looking eyelashes, like the first HT Rambo. They've gotten smaller over the years, but still looks more feminine to define individual lashes. Now they're using a thin line to show dark color there, which would be present, but not making them defined which is common of females. In blown up images I'm sure it may be overdone on Harvey, but I'm sure at proper scale it works just fine.

actually its only the eyeliner on the two face head that bugs me.
Its like its drawn out of line. Those on the Harvey Dent head are done more correctly.

what happened here? i thought this guy wasnt suppose to be out until 2009 but he got released already out of nowhere

Well it wouldn't be accurate (obviously) but you could put the Harvey Dent head on another body with another suit that way you could display both. I think everyone has seen the custom Bruce Wayne pics I posted from Darknight009 over at ToyWorld. He used the clothing from the Mattel "Enchanted" figure and it turned out great, which prompted some people on here to do the same (since the "Enchanted" figure ranges from 9 - 15 bucks). I think that might work with Harvey aswell. Here's 2 Custom Bruce Wayne pics and then some quick Harvey Dent mock ups using the same pics:

Like I said, not accurate but a nice alternative if you can't afford 2 Harvey Dent/Two-Face figures from HT.

Okay, I guess the more proper expression is Two Face is really light in terms of hmm.....overall value for money?

To me, Joker, Bats, and TDK bats have the unique costumes and look factor going on for them. But TF if it weren't for AE amazing potrayal and tragic storyline would have just be a figure of another guy in a suit.

Sadly, I was told the interest for TF is the lowest among the TDK line and no doubt it has something to do with the idea that people might be feeling that he is a lesser figure because he isn't as unique as the other TDK releases.

Well, unfortunately for the TDK line, TF's timing couldn't have been worse. He's surely not as popular as Batman and Joker, but more so, he's high priced and came out when the economic troubles really kicked in. Both Batmans and Jokers came out just in time to catch people before ^^^^ really hit the fan, and fortunately for BR Joker it had the second head. The new head wasn't my motive with BR Joker, but I'm sure had it not been included sales would look different.

I imagine, had Two-Face debuted back when the first Joker and Batman did, he'd probably have sold much better.

No doubt, TF is a really underrated character and as popular as TDK was, the fire is dying out. I also agree with you about the price. He is more expensive than my ori and tdk bats when I first got them. The current economy kinda changes what I can and can't buy. After Ironman MK3, I won't be getting any 12 inch for a while (still debating on MK1 but the price is still keeping me away)

True about the BR Joker too, if it weren't for the head, he might even sell less than TF.

To me, Two-Face is the most visually interesting character in the entire TDK line, which for me suggests better draw to own him, but unfortunately economy and actual character impact on fandom seems to play more heavily into the purchasing. It bums me out because I'd love a Two-Face 1/4 bust.

Well, it does look like there is some kind of really really thin 'skin' layer (you can tell because of the really faint seam line (no worries, really faint, most wouldn't notice it at all) where the 'skin' covering ends) over the plastic core but it's not like soft or rubbery. It's hard like the plastic core. I think a more accurate description would be something like an overcoat. I don't see it deteriorating at all since it's hard.

I think I get it now. So what they did was cast the last layer of plastic more transparent for a more realistic looking skin.

Sounds great, I remember when I suggested to Sideshow they start casting the plastic in their bodies more transparent for a more realistic look a few years ago, they need to do it for their head sculpts as well, it's why Clone Wars Obi-Wan looks so damn good.
Can't wait to see this new HT skin casting method in person someday!

The $149 price tag is direct proof that Hot Toys is "milking" it! Over at Toys2 they still have just under 70 left and its been available for over 2+ months now (Preorder)

This figure isnit worth a penny more than $110-$120 imo. Still nice and you have the option to make a custom but still imo clear proof of a company getting greedy and inflating price for no good reason.

BTW this is all coming from a guy that is and always has been Hot Toys's #1 fan.
