So as you guys may or may not know, I bought a Thor PF ex a couple months ago. It had some defects and I returned it to the seller for a refund. The item was bought on eBay, but the seller is apparently a member here on the boards.... He refuses to reveal his identity on the forum, but his eBay seller id is Andrade26 and his name is Andy Andrade.....

Here's a summary of what happend. I bought this and paid Oct 1. I had been in touch with the seller and notified of the defects. They claimed it to be in MINT condition, but any real collector would've noticed the flaws it had (paint chips, didn't fit in base) The seller agreed to refund my money once he received it. I sent it back, and never heard from him again. I filed a Paypal claim and they denied it because they could NOT verify that I sent the item, since I didn't have a SIGNATURE on the delivery...... WTF!!!!! It was confirmed delivered and insured for $500. Apparently the seller is proclaiming to paypal that he never received it

So if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. I already filed a chargeback with my credit card and that's in the works. But this pisses me off that I have to go through ALL THIS to get my money back. Freakin punk seller! And if anyone knows who this scammer is, or even if you ARE the seller, show your face!!!

Here's the link to the eBay auction I got it from: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120310229470

What credit card company are you with?

I'd say if your credit card company agreed to file a chargeback for you, you have nothing to worry about. I always use my Amex and if I have a problem I just go straight through them becuase they will twist Paypal's arm and MAKE them refund the money. Paypal will make you jump through hoops as you may well know.

But to get to the point...do you have a tracking number or delivery confirmation number when you sent this? If you DO, that is all you need to provide to Paypal. If you don't, let this be a lesson to never ship anything to a complete stranger without a form of tracking to PROVE that they received it.

Talk to Paypal again and don't let them give you crap about needing a signature. Signature is not required for Paypal, just delivery confirmation. They tried that crap with a friend of mine and she yelled until they gave her the money back.

that sucks man, but yeah just do a charge back on your card and you'll get your money back. i wonder why people don't just give money back, especially since it's so easy to charge it back on the cc???

i've actually seen a couple of auctions on the bay of sellers stating that if your going to use your CC through paypal, to please not bid, or use your bank account. no doubt some people abuse that feature of the cc.

My CC is VISA. But the thing is, I DID have delivery confirmation through UPS!! The paypal rep KEPT insisting that it HAD to have a signature. But it was CONFIRMED delivered on UPS....

Actually, signature is required on Paypal transactions $250 or more. It is in the seller protection agreement.

Hopefully the OP can get his money back through his cc company. Because he won't get it back through Paypal alone.

Well, hopefully VISA will give me my money back..... I mainly just wanna nail the seller for being such a PRICK!

Doesnt UPS automatically require a signature? I never ship anyway besides USPS so I don't know their ins and outs.

That sucks. I bought a defective Thor PF from an eBay seller a couple of months ago as well but thankfully the seller contacted Sideshow for a replacement. It's been a long wait but the replacement should be shipping out any day now. Sideshow even paid for the return shipping.

CHARGEBACK!!!!

Initiate one through your cc company and you'll get your money back. Also, leave negative feedback for the dicksock, he deserves it.

nope, it's an extra option. they do automatically generate tracking numbers but they do not require a signature.

Do you have pictures of these defects? I know you are extremely picky. I just want to see if I would have felt the same way as you. This seller has a 100% feedback score and has been a member since Mar-25-04.

Might help if we had more info. Where's he from? Post all his personal contact info, name, address, email, etc., here (you can nab it all from your PayPal transaction) and you might be surprised who complains. :p

That is pretty good feedback considering all the ****** buyers there are now on ebay.

That's why I'm so baffled!!!! The seller had EXCELLENT communication with me about the defects. And he EASILY offered to provide me a refund. But now I returned the item, it was CONFIRMED to be delivered, and now he disappears???? And claims he never received it????? That's why I put INSURANCE on the item when I sent it back!!!

I just saw this thread Chris. That sounds horrible. :(

How long has it been since the package was confirmed received by UPS? And how long has it been since the seller last contact you?

Don't have the pics anymore..... Basically just a sum of a few minor flaws. But I found another Thor PF ex in better condition from another member here, so I figured I'd just return it.... Small paint chip on bottom right of boot, chip in left bicep, hand wouldn't go all the way into the wrist, foot wouldn't go into the base, pin size hole on top of the knee cover on boot.
