Good God Mesa.... You can't honestly believe this. Being a good speaker and drawing a crowd does not make someone anything close to what Hitler was. If you really believe that, I am sorry to say you may be the most ignorant man I have ever met.

That's not a jab at you bro, I am just honestly appalled. It's really insane to me that lines keep being drawn in the sand from Obama to Hitler, Obama to Mao, Obama to Marx, Obama to Stalin... I mean come on... It's nothing like that, his speeches are nothing like what these men did or the radical beliefs that they pushed.

I'm just noting the similarities Josh. Is Obama Hitler? No. But does he have a huge following without even knowing much about the guy, and the little we do know is very questionable? Yes.

Do you think Hitler started his rise to power proclaiming he was going to exterminate all Jewish people? Of course not. He would have been drummed out of town immediately. He made promises to the unhappy and poor masses of Germany, Austria, etc. He set up the infrastructure perfectly to allow such a madman to come into power. He promised change. He targeted the youth. He targeted the disenfranchised. He used advertising wherever he could. He was an eloquent speaker. He blamed Germany's problems on a group that people could place their anger on. He was a narsicist. He setup his own internal force/nazi party to replace the existing law/military enforcement.

Edit: he had his own symbol.

I try not to get caught up in all the political bs that goes on here, but you really have gone off the rails with your fear. Are you that worried that McCain will lose the election that you need to equate Obama with Hitler? Unbelievable.
 
funny, I didn't see many people come to our current elected President's defense when he was likened to hitler in other threads.

We've had 8 years of Bush. We know he's not like Hitler. He's more of a joke. Even McCain is doing everything possible to distance himself from him.
 
Bush isn't Hitler... not even close. He TOO had a huge following, his own symbol (er..letter), and made a lot of promises.. That's politics Scott.

Obama followers know a lot about Obama, we've studied him and his policies in depth.. Hitler had his own party and they were militant from the start, playing off of the anger German's felt after the first World War... So outsiders had a feeling that things were not going to end up well in Germany.

It's insane that you are so closely drawing the comparison. I'd love to take a hit off of whatever it is that you are smoking. :lol
