Is TW Toyswonderland?

If so, don't necessarily give up hope based purely on the bad press.

I pre-ordered some stuff from them in June 2022. The pre-order was fulfilled (along with everyone else's at other retailers) in September 2023 (so pretty recent, definitely not before the bad press - unless things have gotten worse?).
It's already been stated by Mars Toys via Facebook last year (if not even before then) that they didn't offer their items to Toys Wonderland, so any stock that they get will be (just like all their other items) from them buying at local retailers and then reselling them to their customers. This is why TW is in the state that they are in. They buy figures and resell them, they aren't an actual retailer. This is also why you may or may not get your item from them b/c even if you PO there's no guarantee that they can find enough stock locally to fulfill all the orders that have come in. So, if you want an actual guarantee, it's best not to order from them or their sister site, Comic Sanctorum.

As one of the ppl that TW has tried to swindle, I would say it's not just "bad press." Not to mention, if we still had the thread on the board that showcased the numerous stories from not only our fellow members, but from reddit and youtube, there would be more awareness around here of what TW has done. Their business model was doomed to fail and, for the most part, it has.

Ordered Thursday and here today - amazing service Kit!

Figure is great for a guy in a suit. Tailoring is fantastic. Headsculpt is a total let down. Thought the glass was so we could recreate the birthday party speech where he kicks all the guests out. However he looks nothing like Bruce/Batman. Too short and thin, looks like he would be better suited to playing Mr Mom. That is the risk of buying unlicensed figures I guess.

He put some extras up on Thursday from cancelled orders - was lucky enough to get one.

Have started on putting together an alternative Batcave outfit to do a head swap with to keep him interesting on the shelf over the next few years.

I dismissed it when first annouced as "guy in everyday clothing" figures have always felt too boring and dare I say doll like. Even the first Marty McFly falls into this category for me in a way 😲

On his own he does suffers that (my 11 year even said upon opening - "oh its a boring Bruce Wayne figure") but when lined up with the other Burton characters it really adds something and works better than I expected.

Happy to have gotten him now, look forward to giving him an alternative look as my first custom project but also know if I had to at anytime downsize the collection, he would be the most expendable figure I have.

Let me know if you want to sell it!

Yeah, as much as I'd prefer space for villains, this Keaton Wayne came out so nice that I do "want it" now. Hope it passes.
It passed for me. Like others in here, my "want" for this immediately went up when seeing how nice the final product turned out, but now, I'm back to earth with my previous thought that I don't need this figure in my collection regardless of how nice it looks. This isn't one of those that would make a front an center for me, but more of a background figure and I've been pretty good at selling/staying away from those lately. It's why I canceled HT BOBF Cad Bane and Boba, just didn't really need them even though both were really nice releases.

That was the joke.
Glad I didn't comment. I also missed the fact it was a joke when I read it earlier today. I was even kinda bummed that one of the first receivers of the figure was criticizing it :lol But I get it now. And damn, when even Justin's overlit reviews make a figure look good, it's gotta be a very, very good figure indeed. Looking forward to mine.

You'll probably think this way until we see the Alfred figure when released standing next to him....

Most likely not not. The reasoning for passing on this Bruce Wayne is the same reason I passed on '89 Alfred as well. Very nice figure but not one I need in my collection.

Just in case it's not already clear, just b/c I'm passing on the figure(s), that's not saying anything against them or criticizing anyone who did order them. I just don't need it in my collection. That doesn't take anything away from how well the figure turned out. I'm just done with needing to buy every single figure that I have a remote attachment to just b/c it came out really well and/or b/c it's the only one available. I can still appreciate it with out owning it.

The piece continues: ...but it was silly and the bad acting required the scene be cut.
‘But then we remembered that Bruce Wayne is the manufactured persona and he’d be able to drop that metaphorical mask in less time than it takes to don the protective one.’
