For better or worse I feel that Filoni is giving this his all and I can respect that. It is "the George Lucas way" after all.

An argument can definitely be made, especially with regard to the ST, that Disney has been trying to play it safe with middling results or worse.

But Filoni seems to be saying, "nope, I'm going full space whales with WBW imagery and that'll either work or crash and burn but I'm all in" which parallels Ahsoka's journey.

Anakin: "Okay back to the beginning, live...or die."

Ahsoka: "No."

Anakin: "Wrong answer."

And she had to either destroy him or forgive him, no more being a meandering zombie trying to have it both ways.

After making her choice she was all smiles even when having absolutely no idea what the results of the space whale journey will be because at the end of the day aiming for the stars is better than going nowhere.

Lots of fun stuff for over-analytical nerds like me to unpack.

He’s so fast and his swings have such power behind them. He does make Anakin feel like a force to be reckoned with.

He swings like he's really trying to kill you. Lot of anger behind his swings, which is always great to see since that has always been his undoing when going against Obi-Wan, who is more defensive in his lightsaber style. For everyone else though? Usually dead.

There's definitely still some lame stuff like the "all girl's club New Republic" which is super cringe and Hera not telling Mon Mothma "Uh YEAH there's evidence of Imperial Remnant activity, just ask the two dead X-Wing pilots who were obliterated by the hyperdrive stolen yesterday by agents shouting 'For the Empire!'" and the inconsistent first three episodes but nothing bad enough to overshadow the truly spectacular stuff that this show is now delivering, especially in these last two episodes.

There's definitely still some lame stuff like the "all girl's club New Republic" which is super cringe and Hera not telling Mon Mothma "Uh YEAH there's evidence of Imperial Remnant activity, just ask the two dead X-Wing pilots who were obliterated by the hyperdrive stolen yesterday by agents shouting 'For the Empire!'" and the inconsistent first three episodes but nothing bad enough to overshadow the truly spectacular stuff that this show is now delivering, especially in these last two episodes.

Yeah I'm all for equal representation but one can't help noticing that the NR captain stupid enough to let Baylan and Shin board a ship transporting a high value prisoner was male, whereas the one smart enough to get out of the way of a bunch of gigantic, hyperspace jumping whales was female lol. When 5 of the 6 leads in the series (excluding the yet to be seen Thrawn and Ezra) are women, we get that the Force is female. No need to bludgeon us with that message lol...

Exactly. Everybody enjoys moments like Tony and Pepper fighting Thanos back to back in their armor but hates stupid crap like the "step aside Peter the women got this" later in the same film and that's sadly rearing its ugly head on this show too. Equal representation? Great. Almost every lead character being female? Great as long as they're as well done as this bunch. But 90% of all other characters being female and 100% of the morons being male? Okay that's just stupid. I even actively rolled my eyes when the female X-Wing pilot dove into the water to save Ahsoka (because of course she did, apparently the girls need to either rescue themselves or otherwise can only be rescued by other girls.)

Yeah but then I'm pretty sure the two X-Wing pilots who were killed when the Eye of Sion jumped were male while she had the only ship equipped with plot armor deflector shields. Plus there was no way Carson Teva was diving in lol...

I'm picturing an alternate universe where the PT was never made and all we ever got of it were "Terminator future war" flashbacks like what we saw in this latest episode. We would have been drooling over those scenes for decades. "Whoa, I wonder what is beyond all the smoke and explosions? Did you see those crazy looking Mandalorians?? Holy crap! Anakin is so freaking cool and badass! I wonder what he meant by 'Separatist Battle Droids approaching,' those sound cool (lol)" etc.

Always hated the whole Snips thing IMO what a stupid nickname. Hated the whole unstable-Anakin-had-a-spunky-lil-girl-office-wife too. Hated Ahsoka isn't dead and I guess this is round 2 of not being dead. Hated the whole undermining of Anakin's fall with Filoni's less-than-subtle if only Ahsoka had been there b@llz.....

Why am I watching this show. Because, SW . It's fine. It is. Besides, Dark Jedi.

And I'm genuinely happy that others are happy. Plus, we probably won't be seeing I-can't-act Lizzo. (Also, IMO, they did pretty good with the de-aging thing).

Why because of how Baylan taunted her? I'm sure everyone who was close to Anakin questioned whether they could have helped him if they had behaved differently, it doesn't make any of it true. I highly doubt that Ahsoka would have succeeded where Obi-Wan and Anakin's own wife failed.
