I’m not liking the way they did this one. I think I’ll stay put with my non-chrome mando and try to get some of these accessories.

I'm glad to have both this and the non chrome version. The prop armor in the show varied from scenes to scenes so it's the 2 best of both worlds. Crazy how they still got the flight suit color wrong...even worse than the 2.0.

It seems they have actually got the 3.0 suit tailored grey instead of brown then spray painted over like the 2.0. A bit disappointed at how soft the Pedro sculpt looks compared to the prototype, still a great sculpt though. Chrome plates look amazing, the extra weathering on the entire figure is a great touch. Excited to get this guy in-hand

Although like a gun, he probably cleans it before battle, yet too clean and unaffected would look museum sterile,
I like the more well traveled, battle worn effect it's meant to convey...
This figure tells the whole story:

There's far too much stippling and grime on this. I can live without this, wait for a future version; maybe then they'll actually have made the helmet look better too.
While not scene accurate, I don't mind the grime. Had they improved the helmet already? What's left to do?

Helmet looks the same as it’s always been, it just doesn’t look exactly like the one used on screen; that one us a tad more angular and “badass” looking. It’s subtle but mainly the visor shape/size is just ever so slightly off and it throws the whole thing off for me.

I agree with this.
Plus, I really don't see the difference regarding grime between what is being shown now vs initial photos. Maybe its a result of seeing a bunch of custom chrome paint jobs with zero weathering over the last year that's throwing it off for some? Whether it's screen accurate or not entirely depends on the scene. He's always gone from dirty to clean throughout the show. Personally I'd rather him be more on the weathered side opposed to just out of the oil bath factory clean. There's no story told with that. With age and weathering, he looks fit to be Mand'alor.

I had heard they tweaked it on the newer Mando? It sort of looks the same and in other shots not so much, I figured it's the paint job messing with me.

Classic Hot Toys. I'm not sure they've ever got a helmet right. Maybe the Death Trooper bucket.

i order from sideshow 90+% of the time, and usually am fine with “it’ll get here when it gets here”

… yet with this figure, which is essentially just a repaint / upgrade of two figures i own already, im sitting here like “ok what are my options to get this even sooner” 😂

My Mando figure will NEVER be without his helmet.

But...

I wouldn't mind putting the head sculpt on the Transport Trooper... :wink1:

Shoot it's tempting to get a TT just for that! :lol BUT then we'd need a Bill Burr head sculpt too, no? :lol

So my question is will this helmet fit on the TMS007 figure? I think the shiny helmet would look great on the Durosteel version.

Well all the helmets seem to be identical in mold, so methinks a helmet swap would be no issue.
