So I watched the rest and... it doesn't get better.
Everything I disliked stays the same throughout the entire movie. I swear Morbius is a better movie than this.
It's really odd, because there are a few scenes that give you a glimpse of what a good director Waititi can be, but it all gets buried under a ton of lame jokes and horrible visuals. Not to mention an inexplicable obsession with Guns'N'Roses.

I was looking forward to this but once the reactions and long clips started hitting I lost all enthusiasm. Still haven't watched this or MoM. Though the latter does have Lizzie Olsen......

Actually, I've come to the conclusion that Thor Love and Thunder is a children's movie. The jokes, the soft drama, the kids being center stage... it all boils down to a kids' movie. It's like those Robert Rodriguez movies about the spy kids.

Except the gag about orgies?

Kids movies must be different in South America lol. My 6 year old loves Ragnarok so we took her to this one. Yeah, Gorr the God Butcher isn't exactly a Minion.

Watched this for the first time. As you all know I don't watch trailers so every scene I see, I am seeing for the first time. I don't put to much stock in MCU movies these day so I don't expect much. Yes this movie was jokey but some of the silly comments did have me chuckling. Are the goats in a ring tone? That said I do feel that this movie had a very real emotional moments. No aliens, CGI, comic characters but deal with two subject matters that are what real life faces every day. If you are a parent the cut may be deeper. I don't think I felt that real deep emotion in any other MCU movie before.

Watch at your own risk- if you liked the first two Thors you better not see this.
Misfire from first minute. Marvel should be embarrassed but nothing bothers them anymore- five years ago this would have not made it past script stage...

Actually, I do think there's something wrong with that...
I like G'N'R fine, but the way the songs are used in the movie is silly. It's great if you use a well-known or beloved song for effect in a movie, Guardians of the Galaxy is a great and also close example of that. But Waititi just blasts the same song two or three times and by doing so robs it of its effect.

I'm a lifelong GNFNR fan. (I haven't seen this movie so I don't know what song or songs were beaten into the ground or not. I do know the NFL plays a whole lot of Welcome to the Jungle.)

I've been a fan so long I've watched as it was painfully UNcool to like GNR for a long time, then it was cool again, then uncool, then cool in an ironic way, then unironically cool, and now they're just a fat old nostalgia rock group playing soccer moms and weekend warriors.

It's fine though. Like everything else in my life, when I take an interest, I get OBSESSED. I've had every rare and obscure live show and demo made by the band since the mid 90s. I've got bootlegs, t-shirts, posters, books....

Almost exactly 20 years ago, I met Axl Rose! It was one of the coolest and most surreal nights of my life.

If anyone wants to discuss ANYTHING about GNR, we can make a new thread or just PM me....I'm always down to discuss the (once) most dangerous band in the world!

I’m glad you have something that makes you happy. Seriously. Hearing you happy about something is great. When you get that farm you can blast guns and roses to the sheep. Tell them about music will never be the same
