Dark Toys 1/6 Rick Deckard

Checked my Deckard, was expecting to be a bit disappointed but no he's very good.
It's basically everything that has been said , the heads are great and repaints will make them perfect.
The tailoring is very good, too bad about the collar pattern error.
He might be a bit short for me so I will maybe add extenders, or change the body (Wich is a good stiff HT ko).
Will see if I rework the neck to make him a bit lower...
Don't care for the accessories but they look good.
The gun is better than I expected but will probably repaint it black completely save for the handle.
Oh one nice detail the shirt button are magnetized save for the collar one that seems stiched. The jacket button hole is closed on mine.
Overall very very happy

There are some outstanding Deckards in the last few posts. Knowing I'm probably never going to own one of those, I'm very happy about olberfrog's positive view on the Dark Toys Figure. Too bad tracking hasn't been updated since Jan. 28th... .

too bad about the collar pattern error.

I was looking at that -- is it the pattern or the placement on the collar (too far back) that people don't like?

If its placement, I think you could remove the stitching to free the strip of material, move it forward and fabri- tac it back down.

Again not the greatest pics.

I added a body padded suit, chest and thighs, was too tight to close the pants so I cut the padded suit at the waist to have some room.

Added some feet extenders, smallest ones.

Lowered the neck, removed the inner neck peg and put a smaller one I had around.

I ironed the collar so it sits lower , the fold was too high.
Will see how to go about the pattern being repositioned.

Used double sided tape on the tie so it sits on the shirt.

Folded, glued the coat belt so it sits better.

Have yet to water the figure so the clothes fit nicer.
Will repaint the gun too.
Thinking about painting the shoes flat black as they are bit too shiny.

The heads and hands are a bit pale.

Again very happy with it.

I like the earlier recommendation of removing the stitching and gluing down the patterned fabric in the correct position.

The clothing for less than $125 is not bad at all considering the original is now going for about $900 . However, The head does seem very pale and I think weight wise is shrunken making Ford face a bit more pointy or narrow. For sure the set for $200 is a good one though

Save for the tie, collar pattern mistake, shoes the clothing is very good I don't think that 8x the price could do that much better.

As for the head,don't forget my lense is not that good and.gives deformation.

If you haven't your's on the way don't miss the opportunity and order now.

Forgot to say, that the holster feel a bit crappy but it's under the clothes so... But I might ask Gustavo Batista ti do a real leather one... We'll see...

I think he is a decent release, especially at the price.

I'm thinking of possibly utilizing the bloody head sculpt for a custom TOD Indy figure, if it works.

LOL! I was thinking of exact opposite!
I re-casted the HT Indy head and changed here and there to use as Deckard.
This was way before this release, so I don't know what's better anymore..
