Started weathering the right side of the helmet. I will sand it down a bit then add insignia decals.

Any tips on doing Wedge’s helmet? Is there a decal set you use? I realize it’s basic but I’m leery on screwing up the Luke helmet, even if it’s a spare!
I would like to know, as well. I've got two spare SS X-Wing Luke figures ready to convert one to Wedge and the other to either Biggs or with a bigger body, Porkins. I do love your Blue Leader figure, Chakaman.

Awesome. I was thinking the same re: Porkins. I’ve seen one out there using a Gentle Giant sculpt but the 1/6 Big Deal figure, with some light paintwork and the deagostini helmet seem like a good starting point.
I saved some pics and info from zebraten (AKA "ChiliDoug") who did a great looking custom Porkins. I don't mean to hijack Chakaman's thread, though.

There is a decal set for the black/yellow stripe and small insignias. The set is available from Bad Mother Tattoos. The rest is all paintwork.

I only have a few Rebel figures (mainly Imperials) and also have an X-wing Luke who’s been boxed up for a couple years in hopes of a Jek Porkins custom to display him with - my 2nd favourite Pilot. Dunno… maybe the name just stuck when I was kid. But I reached out to Bad Mother and sent him some refs of different angles of the Red 6 helmet. Maybe something will come from this

Its all good Paul. I reached out to him last year about doing a Red Leader decal set, he came through. I ordered the 1/6 Wedge set and asked him about a Biggs and Porkins set, as I didn't see them in 1/6th scale (he did have in 1/18th).

Heard back and he will be working on a 1/6 Porkins and will have to design himself since we both could not find clear images of the markings. It will most likely be some time before he has them complete as there are many more requests he’s working on getting out but assured they will come… just not anytime soon.
