Yeah as cool as the new version is, it feels like a totally different guy to me now. Even with his familiar voice from the SE.

A little time in a Sarlacc Pitt will change a person :lol

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

Curious whats the benefits of skirts? If you watch the Watchman Series main character also wears them. Doesn't it get in the way when your fighting?

In the EU, the kamas adopted by Clone Commanders and ARC Troopers were based on traditional Mandalorian hunter attire.

Both in EU and current canon, kamas are generally lined with a material that is blast resistant to protect your legs and lower body presumably without affecting movement and mobility.

So I do like the new appearance a lot because it kind of brings it back full circle.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

Freshly painted Fett has that cosplay vibe. He should never be freshly painted.

Also, is he wearing his knee pads as boot toppers now? Plus, baggy poo pants with draping wipe-cloth. Old men are funny.

Do not disrespect his kama, for it has a function. :pfft:

I get the distinct impression that Tem is not exactly thrilled about having to wear that knee armor, maybe its uncomfortable for him. Its like theyre THERE, hes tolerating them but no more than that.

Someone else mentioned Biehn, when the hell are we getting a HT version? Im easy to please, i will take Aliens Biehn, i will take Terminator Biehn, i will take Mando Biehn. WHEN

Benefit = it looks cool and different ?? I'd say that's about it.

Ngai Hang Tse took some photos and posted them on One Sixth Republic.

Here's that little rectangular section on the base I mentioned earlier, which looks like an alternate place for the support rod:

This set looks insane posed together.

That bald Boba Look would have been a very mean a** Jedi!!

Luv the flowing pants/kama. Makes sense. I've read desert survival-wise layers of robes are actually cooler, so IMO this is a variant of that.

Like folks who live way out in deserts ought to know how to dress, like the Tusken Raider robes. U need the insulation for wide temp swings, like deserts can be really cold at night. Also u can tear up the kama for survival like for bandages etc.

Another reason MAYBE for me to pick up a clean version, as they might change his look down the road to some kind of flight suit.

Apologies if this was already brought up... But is this empty helmet is a separate accessory? I see no mention of a separate helmet int he accessories list... Or is the one on the armored Boba figure the empty helmet on a special head peg? It wouldn't really be 2 figures if it was meant to go over the sculpt.

I think it is just the one helmet, one sculpt and that is it for the set. Only other helmet accessories is the stormtrooper helmet.

I wish we got a second helmet or sculpt but it would obviously add to the price.

Only one helmet. It's the same as the Luke and Han Stormtrooper Helmets and how they attached.

Boba Fett was probably 2nd only to Darth Vader for me growing up but ROTJ and AOTC really turned me off Boba. I still like the design for this character but would have preferred a skinnier actor honestly. I think they should show how he escaped the sarlacc in his show.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

I fully expect them to open his series with a ROTJ flashback and showing his escape.

I completely agree. Filoni and Favreau have to know that?s the biggest question and starting the show off with it shows they?re here to hit the ground and run from the beginning.

Just getting it out the way immediately will be better to the story they wanna tell anyway. No need to build up to the explanation. Just get it out the way from the start.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

I don't really care how he got out. It might look funny -- crawling out of a tight alimentary canal... being belched up onto the sand...

:dunno

He got out. Move on.

We must remind each other of a movie called......SOLO!!! (ie. What's your last name?"...."I don't have one" :slap"

I wanted to walk out at that point. Good job the rest of the film wasn't that bad.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

I?m more interested in why he allowed Cobb Vanth to wear his armour for so long than how he got out of the sarlacc. That?s something that definitely needs to be addressed... plus it gives them a chance to bring Olyphant back.

As for first scenes, I want a flashback scene to Jango training him as a boy.

I disagree. Him escaping from certain death after centuries of torment is no small detail. I want to see it.
