Astonishing display mate! I really love how you have combined the ACI Aragorn headsculpt with the new Helm's Deep Aragorn released by Asmus. He looks so natural in that pose, so similar to the film... I feel as I were watching him before the battle hahaha. Simply marvelous. I hope to have the chance someday to find a seller that sells me an ACI Aragorn

Anyway, in my humble opinion, among all the headscultps made of Viggo Mortensen, I think the ACI one is without any doubt the best of them. Asmus tried twice; On the first try they made an awful headsculpt for their Ranger version (much better the rooted hair version than the sculpted one, of course, but still poor and without resemblance with the actor). In this last attempt, Asmus has improved the headsculpt, that's true, but I think with all my respect that any likeness with Viggo is a coincidence.

They had a great opportunity to make the best Aragorn version so far making a headsculpt with rooted hair, good painted and similar expression to Viggo Mortensen, but they couldn't or they didn't want to do it to reduce their production costs. What a pity! Maybe next time, when they release a Crown Series Aragorn, they make him well (I hope so ), but for the moment ACI is the worthy winner for me (speaking strictly about headsculpts, because the rest of the Helm's Deep Aragorn figure is fantastic).

The paint on the new version is amazing.

Just rushed home to quickly open this on my lunch break. The Deluxe base is very impressive, probably the most impressive dio to actually come with a figure.
The figure itself has a lot of noteable improvements on Asmus' first two attempts at Aragorn. The materials used for the clothing is definitely one of them. In my opinion the ACI Aragorn sculpt still reigns supreme with some intensive reworking of the hair but I really like this non-rooted hair also.
The hands on mine seem really pink, does anyone else notice that? Super pink.
The new Adam body is a huge improvement over the old KP-01 body that Asmus was using also. This is a great changeup for the line!

Back to work now, but I can't wait to go home and really have a go at this piece!

Today's delay notice from SSC - Aragorn bumped until March.

But, I already have my favorite characters Thorin and Thranduil; so I can wait. All of my SSC orders got delay notices *shrug*

Wow, I can tell that is going to look superb! Great work so far. Does anyone have a good tutorial on how to do this? I'm no stranger to crafting and hair styling so am confident I could do it with a little help
