I don’t know if you guys keep track with the sculptors, but HT’s main sculptor have recently moved out of the company to start a new collectible company. And most of these are made by Kojun. Maybe that’s the reason why they can’t make a new sculpt for this release.

I had almost half expected this might go up for PO in the frst days of NYCC, but now that it hasn't I guess I'm not surprised.

I can't imagine they'd send a Luke Bespin 2.0 out to pasture like Death Star Trooper etc - too much money to lose - but nothing surprises me with HT. I mean they showed and actually shipped a power droid instead of Han Bespin.

That looks great Tali. I got inspired by your custom and did the same to my DX-07 and used Hoth Luke hair. Which hair sculpt are you using in this pic? Is that the Snowspeeder Luke hair?

I really am hoping for the static arms option for Dagoba training Luke to hold the bag and do the handstand pose. Swappable arms would be the ultimate option similar to Infinity War Thor but alas I think we will see an easy release from Hot Toys and they will reuse the CW Darth Maul body to give us an exposed jointed sculpted body Luke with tank top.

I?m afraid seamless wouldn?t even be enough to give us everything we need in posing options. When you put a see less body?s arms over their head it doesn?t give us the extended traps and lifted deltoids that we see when someone is doing a handstand. An entirely sculpted upper body in that position like the swap out torso on AOU hulk would be the only option to make it look right and I?m just not certain hot toys would do that for us.

Yeah it's the SSC Luke Snowspeder hairpiece - I've attached a pic of both Sideshow hairpeices on this HT Luke Jedi sculpt, plus also one of the HT ANH Luke with a Sideshow hairpiece, which I think improves the somewhat weak likeness a bit. I did mod the front of the hairpieces.

It's kind of weird to have done these "swap the hairpiece" customs... and then have HT do pretty much the exact same thing, on the same outfits. I do think this Luke sculpt works a bit better for ROTJ (where his face is more angular than ANH and ESB) but it works well enough for ESB.

A new Luke Bespin you would think would be an occasion for a whole new Luke sculpt.

I still love my DX Luke. ?What?s in the Box? was such a presentation not seen anymore. I can?t believe that two figures with a **** load of accessories was $300 CAN! Same price as ?Wicket? today!! Ahhhh?.the good days of collecting (wipes a tear)

I just want a Bespin Luke. I like this sculpt. I don't mind if they reuse it. Ideally, every figure would come with new sculpts for how much they charge, but I want this figure before 2030, so I will settle for the reused sculpt.

Besides let stop letting HT off so easy.


Their products are falling backward on almost every level from 5 or 10 years back.

They should be nailing every sculpt at this point , and the addons and clothing should be light years ahead of 5 years ago.

Wasn't Kojun well known for sculpts that are only 90% of the way there? I recall people freaking out on his Tony Stark sculpts.

Viva Lai the best so far. His sculpts also seem to retain much of their detail in production.
