It’s SSC take though , could be different ..I own a lot of Phicen and TB league..I want to see the durability of the silicon body by SSC and how it matches up to extreme posing
The instructions state the body is by TBLeague, so I'm pretty sure they were solely behind the body production and that it's basically the same as every other TBLeague product except for the physique being designed to suit wonder woman. I completely agree! However, I've literally been customizing my Sideshow figs since I started officially collecting 1/6 with their original Jedi Luke. So sadly, I think it's just ingrained at this point that I'll have to put in some work to bring it up to my personal standards (which obviously vary by collector). I mean, SS is the reason I started learning how to paint at this scale, so good has come out of it as it's a part of this hobby that I really enjoy on my own.For close to $300 you shouldn't have to.
I agree with most of your points.
However, the fabric SS uses is better quality than the rubber screenprint fabric that HT uses which sticks to itself and anything else it comes in contact with that eventually peels i.e. All Snyderverse Batman and Superman figures, Amazing Spider-man 1 to name a few.
I also really love the box art on these recent comic releases. It feels like you're getting a comic inspired figure when you open it IMO. Plus they're simple, slim and don't take up much space.
I agree, SS has never been great when it comes to their base bodies. Someone put the Flash figure on the Phicen M33 and it just brought it up a whole notch. I ALWAYS switch out SS bodies ever since I started collecting them.
I do like V1 Wolverine but feel the suit was too loose...I do love the switch out arms though. That was a cool idea with a way to get a seameless look. In terms of value, I think Deadpool and Punisher take the cake. Those two figures came with a TON of goodies. Pretty much everything you need for those guys. I really love the look of the Punisher, just hate I missed it when it was released.

Definitely agree to disagree lol I'd take the V1 Catwoman sculpts over the Baroness one but everyone likes what they like and that's a-ok.
The GI Joes are definitely among my favorite Sideshow pieces, however ALOT of those figures had reused parts that applied to the entire line. So, they're saving money on production and design by using the same hands, boots, cut n' sew for the uniforms, backpacks/ harnesses/holsters/ etc., nearly all weapons except for the few character specific ones. Not to mention factoring a better body inot the overal cost as SS bodies are always garbage. I've never had an SS figure that I kept the original body on. It's not about posing. The V2 prometheus bodies had stuck hip-joints that would snap if you tried to twist like my Zartan and Falcon as well as the gummy knees that that were difficult to even bend or the female body they used for Baroness, HQ and Catwoman where the hips would just disintegrate. I'm a museum poser, so it wasn't user error, plus a seasoned customizer, I know how these things should work. I've done my fair share of frankensteining bodies as well.
With these comic figures they barely share a similar body. Mostly everything else is unique to that specific figure. Also, with characters like Superman, Flash and Wonder Woman, other than extra headsculpts, there's not much else you can give them that SS hasn't already gave the figure. Batman could've at the very least came with a grapple dun and some bat-bombs. I do find the plain black stands w/o any design on this and other SS figures to be incredibly lazy on their part however.
Multi-quote is a useful tool. No need to copy paste. I use it often, like I am now. However, it seems when folks like me use multi-quote, others just glide over the post as wholeNice energy guy. Stalker much? Must've taken you an hour to copy and paste. Too much time on your hands? What SIDESHOW needs to get is what I've said numerous times. Shaming someone for giving an opinion? Won't work on me. When Sideshow is great, they're great but no excuse on this. Now sure, let's hear from others... I truly just don't want them to mess up CW

: Sideshow can definitely be great but they can also drop the ball like any other company has. HT BvS Wonder Woman was a let down IMO which was their first WW as well though they've slowly gotten better with each release. Unfortunately for SS, they don't have regular movies to help promote a new version like HT does, so we have to wait awhile before we get a V2. I agree! We're definitely all entitled to our opinions. And on the same token, it can feel a bit exhausting to see the same thing reiterated over and over. However, the easier thing to do is just move along like the Stormtroopers and Obi-wan

I agree, I've never used batteries in any figures anymore (1/6 or transformers). I check to see if they work, then they come out. The one time I left batteries in a figure (BvS Armored Batman), they corroded. Easy to clean and repair but still sucks. After that, I immediately took the batteries out of all my figures that had them at the time.
While I like the look of The Flash on the TBLeague/Phicen M33 body, I agree that I don't typically care for those that put the Batman and Superman figures on the TBLeague M34/35 Arnold physique body. It just looks weird to me. I wish TBleague would develop a superhero type body now that they are working with SS that is a bit taller and a tad leaner to really capture that Superman/Batman look. For now, I think the best superhero proportioned body is the HT Man of Steel body.
I really loved Gotham Knight Batman so much that I bought and sold it 3 times since it was originally released b/c I couldn't decide. Now after having the newest Batman, I really love the new design and can't see myself going back to the older ones. It has a dark enough blue cape where you don't feel like you have to choose between black or blue, plus I love the little piping design that gives it a little more than just a plain grey suit like the previous versions.

This isn't a "designed by TBleague made by SS body" like how HT helped design the SW Clone bodies for SS. The body and outfit are made by TBLeague, not SS. Whatever articulation your current TBLeague figures have, this one will be no different except for possibly reduced neck articulation due to the hair.
I actually really like the current bodies; I think they have a great, natural scullpt. The only flaw, in my opinion, is that the arms don't have biceps swivel or double bend elbows. I think the reason for that is that the arms were designed for sleeveless figures, originally (Thor and Luke Cage).
After I got the new Batman, the Gotham Knight figure really started to look dated. So you know what I did? I dropped the exclusive unmasked head from the new figure onto the Gotham Knight, and it completely brought the figure back to life.
While I love the old Gotham Knight sculpt with the long ears, the faceplates just don't hold up. My plan now is to update the figure with a new cape, trunks, and head, and belt.

See I tried to revive my og SS Batmans by combing the Blue and GK versions with the MoS body to get something of a Hush vibe going and that did it for me for a little while, but i just kept coming back the newer version. Once I got the new one in hand, like you said, it just made the older ones dated. At the time I loved the value that the switchout mouth pieces gave but man do I love the new sculpt on the latest version especially that you can see the nose under the cowl. As for the new body, I do agree, I love how natural it looks. So maybe saying "garbage" was a little extreme on my part
I just wish it was a tad taller, bigger in the chest and like you said had a bicep swivel joint. Also, due to how the biceps are sculpted, you get a slightly less than 90degree bend at the elbow and that just bothers me. I don't even need a full bend. But, if I could get the current body with a larger chest, bicep swivel and slightly more elbow bend, I'd be happy. But as it stands, I'll be switching mine to an MoS body when I get the chance. I love admiring it for what it is right now though without any mods.

Uh... I had no idea about the Joes reusing parts. I only have the six main Cobra villains now but the earlier figures except Firefly aren't as good as later releases. Anyway, the Batman mods/pics here look good and I like how Superman 1/6 turned out
I LOVE the call to action PF and just hope that they don't mess up and make his glasses super thick like they did with... sorry to bring her up again lol... Baroness PF. I really want to pull the trigger on Call to Action but am waiting to see the final result and if I'm not into it, I'll grab the 1/6 Supes. G'night guys

Interesting thread to read. Certainly shows different perspectives. Personally, I don't think this sculpt looks "manly" at all. Certainly not "classic feminine beauty", but I always figured that Wonder Woman was an amazon warrior, so I was fine with the look.
For these figures, I much prefer the cloth outfits, as opposed to the Hot Toys plastic/synthetic. You can't leave them in poses without risking the suit, and for some, it seems peeling etc is an issue.
I agree somewhat with Gipetto on the customization side of things. Full respect to all who have the skill and ability to customize their figs, but in many cases, I don't think the phicen bodies look good on some of the custom figs I've seen. For me, it makes them look even more like cosplayers, as the outfits were clearly not tailored for that type of body. Also, I really like the way that all of my SS DC figs have different and unique bodies. It just separates them, emphasizing that they are all different people.
I do agree that I wish Sideshow figures had more accessories, etc.. But I've said it before, and will keep saying it, it is RIDICULOUS to compare Hot Toys vs Sideshow pricing.
Anyone who has travelled, or purchased anything in a store, knows that items from an American company (or UK company, for example) are going to be more expensive than products from an Asian company. It's simply a difference of manufacturing costs.
Should never be a surprise when Sideshow, or Big Chief Studio, products seem pricier (for what you get) than Hot Toys, or ThreeZero, or Enterbay, etc..

Good points. I prefer cloth as well. All my 5-10 year old 1/6 figures with cloth still look as mint as the day I bought them. They just need to be stored in a case and kept clean and they stay mint.
Hi, can you (or anyone who knows) help me with which GacToys sculpt is for TBLeague pale bodies? I have googled for a while today and there are so many variations (A through at least F right?) with and without tiara. They all seem to be aimed at suntan bodies or darker for hot toys, but at the same time finding any info on some of the letter variations is proving difficult.
Tl;dr lol, which head sculpt is the one I'm looking for to match a pale body? Thanks for any help you guys can give, I appreciate it.

Some nice poses there! I guess I need to practice with these TBleague bodies. Every time I move it, I feel like I'm going to pull the "skin" off the skeleton. Not because of the quality of the body, just my ham-handed inexperience.
Only experience I've had with one of these is a kitbash Conan, which I've mostly left in almost a museum pose.
It's just weird when the figure is "squishy", instead of hard plastic like all my other figures...
