I'm a fan of the 1990 film. :)

Right there with you on that front. It's hard, but as I get older I'm trying to be more and more content with liking something, but not needing to own a bunch of collectible crap related to it. Unless I feel it has personal meaning to me, anyway. :wink1:

Seriously? If you don't care about the characters that much, don't bother. Whether they're rare or not later on is irrelevant. I think all of us on these forums have enough fiddly plastic figures overflowing off shelves. Just buy what has real meaning for you, and leave the 'value/resell' rat race to people who want the additional stress.

These are made to order figures, it's not like he's scalping them. I don't see any issue with getting it. I ordered two also for the same reason as hypnobrett. Plus shipping was basically the same for two.

Oh no, scalping wasn't on my mind. It's just the needless buying of things you're not even sure you want just because they might not be available later... thing. That's one of the many holes I suspect we all fall into in this hobby. :lol

Yeah, they look cool and words like "made to order" makes it very tempting again, thanks a lot dukefett. :lol

I just have to remind myself that I'm not a fan of TMNT2 and that the box will be big probably.

I?m a bit torn on the toon turtles at the moment, I have the Target 2 packs with the cartoon colour rather than the ones that are the more promo material coloured.

What are opinions on which look better when all together with the other figures? Also are there any other differences than colour?

In other exciting TMNT news today, I got my Super7 figures in! Only had a couple minutes to mess with a few of them. Quick thoughts:
- Overall really happy I got these, it really does feel like opening up brand new figures from the original Playmates line. I immediately felt way more nostalgic than with any of the NECA cartoon stuff I have actually been able to buy so far.
- I feel like it would be easy to say all the joints are loose, but really I think it just feels weird, after all these years buying NECA stuff, to open up a figure and actually be able to move everything around right out of the box. I think that is what that one guy on YouTube meant when he said it felt cheap. Really we are just not used to figures with such fluid joints.
- Paint is a bit sloppy/globby in detailed places like some of the eyes and teeth, but not too bad overall.
- The silver metallic sai for Raphael were pretty warped, but I prefer the flat gray ones anyway, the metallic ones look a bit cheap.
- Splinter and his cloth robe look really good in person.
- Like others have said, Baxter is the highlight of the wave and definitely would be one to have an extra of to keep in the package because it just looks so cool in the box.
- I was worried about the plastic being glossy and cheap looking, but in hand I dig it. It does make it seem more like the old figures than if they were matte painted. Also, unlike the NECA cartoon stuff theres no danger of the paint chipping around the joints when you move them.

I got two foot soldiers but didnt have a chance to open them yet. I kinda want to hunt down a second Raphael to use with the alternate head.

Absolutely agree on the joints, the Toxic Crusader was the first Super7 figure I got and was just surprised how easily everything moved lol. I'm used to NECA paint locking figure or being worried about breaking imports that are real tight.

The color is the only difference. I like both. I think Neca will make another wave of cartoon color versions with new head sculpts that look like the 1/4 scale cartoon turtles.

Oh crap please let Super Shred on Monday ordering be as smooth as the two pack was

The thing says limited SUper Shred for Necastore....why! :thud:

I won’t get this through Walmart..why Neca..why! :pfft:

Judging from what they said the other day, I really think almost anything is on the table for reissue in the future. These are probably in hand and already produced.

I caved and ordered Tokka and Rahzar. Now if I can just get the Casey and Raph two pack I’ll be satisfied. Think I’m passing on Super Shredder.

Super shredder will be limited according to neca you have to get it and not look back.

granted like you if i don?t like it i won?t buy it, the question will be are you a completionist or not?

Does your collection need every single character?
if yes then get it because the laid back personality will regret not getting this when the price goes up, if you don?t then don?t worry about it. Maybe neca will be a stepping stone for the franchise and another manufacturer will come along, heck what if playmates takes real control of the franchise and starts churning out better figures, those licensing fees might look pretty good if they ever stepped up their own game, tbh.

I used to want every single figure, but as much as i try to like them i just stick to characters i really like [emoji1787]. that?s why i sold my marvel figures, i had too much

The whole 'keeping them in the back' thing... Ugh. As if we don't have enough problems finding these things. Really, they should have 'Turtle Fan Verification' questions every potential customer has to answer to see if they actually know anything about the property, or are just there to flip stuff. :lol

As far as Randy's 'News', I fear it's going to be for the movie turtles only, which I have no interest in. :(

if there's a booth for high value merchandise, i'm sure they can keep them there in plain sight with a notice 1 set per customer.

Yup, I will pass on them. They're cool looking, but that's not enough for me to buy something. I'll stick to the cartoon line and TMNT 1990 movie. Thanks.

yea, prefer toons (but the normal versions). i'm only interested with the turtles from the movies but casey is a bonus since undercover is an iconic pose (unless they do it for the toons).

what i don't like is the sudden change of paint direction from the toy colorway to 2D cartoon style.

I think I'll be a completist of the 1990 film. Although, I already passed on ghost Splinter, so **** it, I'm not a completist. :lol

i wonder if Tokka and Rahzar will still have poseable fingers like their prototypes did.
but instead i read something about replaceable hands here.

Just got the Lootcrate set in, I didn't realize FedEx delivered on Saturdays, I'm in San Diego where Lootcrate is so it was basically overnighted. It came with more than I expected, more than the Spirit of Splinter anyway. I'm really not familiar with the Mirage Comics very much, so didn't know TCRI off the top of my head. Shirt, bag, pin, coffee travel mug, keychain (Chet's Toys) and back of the phone credit card holder thingy.
