Where is the cheapest place to get this in US or is SS the only way? I have kind of been out of the loop and notice they charge tax now.

I know you mentioned that you want to get it in the US but I recommend trying Toy Origin although they are based in Toronto, Canada. They charge in US $ and I believe that there are no duties charged by US customs for purchases less than $800. They also charge a reasonable flat rate for shipping to the US according to their website.

The reason I like them is because they give a small discount for pre-orders and you can use the rewards points you earn from them as soon as your next purchase (or you can accumulate them if you prefer). They require a 10% deposit for pre-orders. Their pre-order price for the Mandalorian figure is $234.99

The only downside I noticed is that their website and payment system can be hard to use at times. They are a relatively new company so I guess it is part of their growing pains. Nonetheless, I send an email to them whenever I have issues and the owner gets back to me and sorts it out so it's not big deal for me.

Yup, just preordered my second one. Haven't seen a bad photo or video. Going all in on this line.

I'm thinking of getting this for my brother as a christmas/birthday present. Looks like it came out fantastic.

I was holding out to see the Beskar edition for myself - Not sure if I should get it when it releases or wait for a season 2 version... hmmmm. Maybe he doesn't change anything from season 2. But I'm really waiting to see how the Beskar edition looks. In my opinion the Beskar pieces should be die cast and super shiny. Not plastic.

You're gonna want his early S2 look with new thigh and knee armor back:lol

I'd wager two. He'll probably wear the updated Beskar with thigh armor early on and then end up with a colored set of armor by season's end.

Thank you for the suggestion. No one was getting back to me so i just assumed SS was the only option and PO'd one from there. This stuff with tax and title is getting expensive to say the least - i don't know how a lot of you guys can keep up. Thanks again, i will check this place out for possible future orders.:duff

That's probably already on HT's drawing board $$$$$.:horror The dx uber-version with the 1/6 blurrg $$$$$$$

But was so impressed with the paint on IW Winter Soldier metallic arm - and it holds up posing too - if HT has same depth/gloss on beskar Mando am more than happy.

Vaguely recall Favreau or maybe it was ANOVOS talking about the "real" beskar paint - it's some work to get the paint or depth of it right. It's shiny without looking cheap or too shiny.

Speakin' for myself - get less. Or wait longer. Like u gotta triage. Also with Sideshow and frequent delays u can juggle stuff on payment plans.

This guy came out looking pretty great. Not sure I need a Mando figure. Like the show and the character, but not something I think I need represented on a shelf. If I do eventually feel the need, I'd rather have the full Beskar Armor version anyway.

Would like to see this guy next to a HT Boba Fett...

You do need one. So just you go and place an order, don't think about it.

I see remorse over passing on this, on your horizon: for now, it is a cloud the size of a man's hand - as they say. It will loom larger. :wink1:

As for HT Fett, imagine the Fett we'll be getting next year. YOU JUST KNOW we are going to get one for this show, and he WILL be epic. I wonder if they're going to go all Mythos-style on him.

I am frankly dreading the Premium format statues you know they are even now cooking up.

Oh yes he will be Mythos style, badass as hell and everyone will want him. Going to be an excellent release I think.

Just PO this bad boy! He looks awesome!
Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the cape isn't wired and that is the only downside for me since it takes away the possibility of some cool dynamic poses.

I caved and pre-ordered on Sideshow last night. Now I have to figure out how to hide it from my spouse (along with all my other pre-orders).

I just came clean about my pre-orders. Showed my wife the entire spreadsheet, expected release dates, and the tally of everything on order. Her biggest complaint was that she had no insight into what I was planning to spend. I try to involve her in the collecting as well, which helps.

If you're not digging yourself into a hole financially then your spouse/partner shouldn't care what you buy. I'm sure they also spend money on things that you think are ridiculous :lol
