Still a big fan of this piece.

The only thing I didn’t like were the eyebrows.

But I’m still kicking myself for not getting it when Popcultcha (Australia) had their major discount-gate issue which mistakenly doubled the discounts (36%) a few years back.

Huh....interesting email. Only a $25 increase but still odd:

The most concerning part isn't the $25 increase here(which I'm sure will still ruffle some feathers) but rather the idea that price increases on preorders could be a thing going forward. I wonder if Sideshow found out their production costs would be higher than expected or if this is an experiment to reinforce the concept of preordering of products?

That?s what I?m also thinking. When it came down to mass producing it to get it close to what the prototype looked like they went ?oh crap, we way under estimated the cost of this for this quality?

I know recently the price of the Mcfarlane Batman black and white statue went from $85 to $115. That's about the only other time I can remember a price hike on a preorder.

Those who preordered will still pay $350 - I don't see any downside of increasing the price, decreasing it would be another matter

If anything, I feel like less of a sucker for getting too excited and preordering

I am more inclined to say that this isn't a trend moving forward. I think they hit the ground running on production of this figure and things cost more than anticipated. Also if they didn't cap the numbers on this thing... god knows how many of these things they have sold. Maybe they increased the price to slow the numbers a little.

Nope!!!! This is a first!!!!

Not entirely true. I preordered the life size boba fett figure when it was first announced about 5 years ago and they had a special introductory price. I paid 7500. After a couple months it went up to 7999 and now I think it?s at 8495.

Ok, good to know!

I'm not a regular Star Wars guy so I didn't know they did that before. I'm on the Superhero side so we don't see this as much.

lol gotcha! Unfortunately I do all of it, movies, comics and especially Star Wars which leads to empty wallet. However That is the only time I know that they have done that. Some companies like Ecc and Cinemaquette do the intro pricing.
