To clarify again, the body was designed to be used for the New Spock (new head new standard size), while Kirk supposed to be in Green Leisure with his own seamless body.

So the original heads were not intended to be used with this new body, and the new body only had Spock physiquein mind and for any other uniformed (all except TOS) figures.

They do not have my intended design at all.

Some reasoning,

1/6 Body size and accessories can be estimated and scale down from actual sizes, and this can be very accurate. However, fabric is not. Real life clothing scale down to 1/6 supposed to be measured in Microns, but there are no such usable thin fabrics. Therefore, the body can't be actual size, otherwise, the uniform will be thick (twok). The shoulder needs to be slightly narrower to have a more pleasing appearance.

Furthermore, this body supposed to be able to perform the now iconic Starfleet posture, hands behind back. This body also is based on modulation design, in which 6 different heights can be obtained, and when pair with the underneath fitting gourmet, 3-5 different body shapes can be obtain (skinny, normal, big). This equals to 60+ different bodies (in uniforms)

This is only the peak of what we all missed out. There are a lot more improvements such as stands, packaging, and even hands (i had worked on the hands for 15 months) that were not utilize because of some unreasonable, unrealistic, and illogical ASSUMPTIONS. (More like I knew exactly what to do, and they wanted me to do something else which I believed would jeopardize 1/6 trek. Exactly what is happening.

Look at the way the sutuation being handled. Those who ordered Scotty and Sulu will never have any (at least the same one), i am looking forward to their explanation.

My wrong doing was I stood my ground for the future of 1/6 Trek. I would not allow 1/6 Trek became inferior toys, and I wouldn't allow quality to move backwards but always improvements, up until the point of no return.

The attached picture is the Correct sized Spock V4 head with his own body.

Good intentions often end up in a heap of ashes for a host of reasons. And although most people who own the 1/6 Trek releases will tell you they are happy with them, I have become disenchanted with the whole line. Only Khan in my opinion lives up to expectations... body, head, uniform. He would be worth keeping were he able to exist alone in a collector vacuum, but without Kirk nearby it’s just as well he not be.

Spock looks great! Better than his predecessors - judging from this pic.

But what is Spock V4, did I miss Spock V3? (I have two Spock V2....)

I imagine never...unless you mean released to Nanjin?s personal collection of amazing prototypes that do not fit in with QMX?s new business model of producing novelty toys and trying to be the next Funko instead of the next Hot Toys. QMX will never release another Star Trek figure again...not even the ones that were already listed for preorder...they won?t be releasing any more iterations of Spock. You will have to enjoy your Spocks with the heads that they came with.

I have the connection and the people to post threat because no one could handle the network within the industry. I did. How? Because I have been and always shall be a Trek dude. I would not post any threat to anyone in the industry. I made friends.

Thats why there were 2 Pennywise. I was stepping too close to The Empire of 1/6.

Maybe...someday V4 will see the living daylight.....

They should have listened to you...I love your Trek figures as much as any of the Hot Toys in my collection. QMX are the ones who failed you are the only reason that most of us have spent any money with that company. What a shame.

I still like the figures we received. They aren’t perfect, but at the same time no one else is likely to tackle the license. Plus the figures we received still do a lot right in my opinion.

I for one are very proud of my trek trio display (missed out on Scotty & Sulu, despite preordering in advance, but the UK collectors got shafted). Non collector friends are more often than not, drawn to my Trek figures over my HT SW or Lotr, and are very complimentary of the 3 I have. HT are on the way out for me, very bored of their repeat variants of characters done to death. Asmus Lotr is and Qmx Trek (would've been) my main focus. I would of happily gone deep into Trek, aliens and all. Qmx really dropped the ball with all their 1/6th lines. Only to focus on q figs (yet more novelty tat). Nanjin, you did the Trek collecting community proud with the figures that were made. Thank you

As a longtime, loyal TOS fan I am critiquing the FINAL PRODUCT FROM QMx! That same product which Nanjin himself has repeatedly lamented and has admitted that he has not actually contributed fully toward. So, stop with the intolerance of someone else’s free speech. You are happy with the way the 1/6 Trek have turned out, wonderful for you! If I feel that they suck more than just a little bit for what could have and should have been, grow up and live with that. Or not.

I still like the figures we received. They aren’t perfect, but at the same time no one else is likely to tackle the license. Plus the figures we received still do a lot right in my opinion.

This is true. But being somewhat of a perfectionist about things that I care so deeply about, I just see too many of the wrong things that could have been done right, especially with the atrocious bodies—which in my opinion count for the likenesses almost as much as the heads do and could easily have been so much better! So, I prefer to go without rather than feel frustrated and duped by QMx.

Meanwhile, I am very happy with the Big Chief Studios Thunderbirds collection!

They?re not being defensive, or immature, just letting you know that your negativity is starting to be repetitive. I agree.

And speaking of being butt hurt, i think we all are - over the apparent business decisions of QMx.

You yourself were pretty excited about the line just six months ago, and now you?re calling the figures crap.

After all, we are all ST TOS fans!

Despite all the faults of the QMx figures, head sculpts, bodies, they are still the best action figures produced in the last 50 years. Let's live with it, I, for myself, feel happy with my KnSnBnCW, and dream of better ST TOS Action Figures to come in the hopefully near future.

Let me tell you that I am perfectly convinced that within the next 50 years we will have robots customized looking like our ST TOS heroes, not 1:6 but 1:1.

No one minds dissenting opinions and views about the figures...trolls, however, like yourself, just bring the whole forum down. Piling on with the constant negative does not add anything. Why don?t you just go and do something else with your time. Which I am certain that you have plenty of...the sadness and bitterness that oozes from every one of your posts is definitely indicative of someone that is not necessarily all that socially active. Whatever dude. You’re entitled to your own opinion about the figures, but there’s not a need to be hostile to others who disagree with you. No one is really insulting you. You keep going on and on about the problem with the figures in a thread dedicated to them. Most people acknowledge they aren’t perfect, but a lot of us are still content with them. You aren’t and that’s fine.
