Wow, looks awesome:clap - especially when I know the work you put into them! (even just one has nearly burned me out.:lol)

what white paint did you use?

I tried so many spray whites and it seemed like the Tamiya was closest to the HT armor color.

Re: D.R.37's Cargo Hold: 1/6 Star Wars Customs

Ohhh nice!

Have you ever thought of making the ROTJ buckets? The HT one is so wrong it hurts my head.

Tell me about it. It's been a long process. The first couple helmets I used Vallejo Model Air White which was fine for the Sandtrooper bucket being weathered and all but it doesn't look too great on the regular clean trooper I did. Fine from viewing distance but the white isn't a vibrant white up close, plus the sheen of the gloss (Pledge Floor Care) doesn't shine as well as the Tamiya spray can i used on these last ones. Maybe just because the Vallejo white :dunno
It?s Tamiya TS-26 comes out fabulous except for trying to make the black band matte again - I didn't bother taping it off. I tried sanding the gloss off before applying the matte clear but some how it's still a bit glossy.
And you know the tedious steps of trying to make these look presentable. It's been A LOT of work that I just kept pushing back. I'm glad to have them finished.

Those look great Paul! Nice job.

Thanks, Chris :duff Much appreciated!

Thank you :D
These were casts from another Freak, Solo Bones - I just prepped and painted them. You are correct but all HT Stormtrooper helmets are all off in one form or another. Too Much Garlic has been working on some along with his Vader buckets. I've been eagerly waiting to see those become available.

TK's before and after: Solo, ROTJ, Regular, and Solo.

Re: D.R.37's Cargo Hold: 1/6 Star Wars Customs

Final end of year push !! Well done mate ! They look great.

While I'm no Stormtrooper aficionado, I do notice the huge differences between say the Rogue One style and others immediately. Sandtrooper are my favourite look aesthetically.

Thanks guys :duff
I agree. Dirtied up Sandtroopers are always welcome :D

I bought every rattle can I could but nothing seemed as close as the Tamiya (though even that isn't 100% match to HT.)

My bucket had a really pronounced seam running over the forehead that I just got sick of sanding. I have to do the decals and strip but I got knida burned out. After I did the Tamiya spary I then noticed that the sculpted jawline slots/vents were still visible.:gah::lol I'm just going to finish it and try to love until the Too Much Garlic one shows up (hopefully itlll just need paint, not months of freakin' sanding.)

Re: D.R.37's Cargo Hold: 1/6 Star Wars Customs

God dang Paul!!!! Those trooper buckets look amazing!! The polish jobs are amazing!! I made a few helmets for Sandtroopers. Did you remake the decals?? Dude. Just beautiful stuff!!!

Mine did as well. Several sanding and putty sessions. Needle files as well. Solo Bones sent me a few extra that were pretty bad, and that he wouldn?t sell to anyone; where part of the helmet was so thin it shattered and I had to re-sculpt it. Extremely tedious but for an extra helmet at no cost was worth it in the end.
I?m looking forward to seeing TMG?s version and his Vaders too! Looking forward to seeing how you conquer this as well. I?m sure your?s will come out great... we are our own worst critic!

The decals were included with the casts. Bad Mother Customs on eBay does many 1/6 1/12 decals. Not sure but he use to do a Stormtrooper set.

Re: D.R.37's Cargo Hold: 1/6 Star Wars Customs: Iakaru Bounty Hunter (Bistan Variant)

It has been awhile since I've worked on anything and started cracking on some pieces for my Iakaru/Bistan. Here are a some accessories that will be part of his gear:

Kitbashed chest box, scratch built armor for the gloves, ammo pouch and modded SE-14r.

Still piecing him together...

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy out there.
