This Version of the ride on Batmobile had to be part of my collection and at $79.99 last year; I couldn?t pass it up...

There is no other that comes close to having: ? The Batmobile? look...

Hey Jolietbat, you're in my neck of the woods. Wouldn't happen to have an extra Batmobile would ya? Would save me a ton on shipping if I located one!

Yeah I got told it was limited to
800 - worldwide period. back when it first got released.
I think hot toys done it more as a thing to get their name on the map.
I know it?s a weird analogy but Bugatti sold their first Veyrons at a loss just to get the company name out there & it worked.

Absolutely. It?s hard to imagine Hot Toys making a 1/6 vehicle ever again, it?s just too expensive and impractical. I?m really grateful that this came
out during a time where it was more viable to be experimental.

Count me in as an owner. Never did figure out a practical way to display this beast. The size has prohibited any display cabinet from working. Lives in the closet right now.

Absolutely love it though, such an awesome centerpiece of my Batman collection. I don't think it will ever be topped. Although I was waiting patiently on the 66 to be solicited.

There can't possibly be as few as 800 worldwide, right? I mean, I got mine from amazon japan and it specifically said "second production run."

Man. If they really are anywhere near that rare, maybe I should keep mine. I've been saying for years I want to get rid of it cause of how big it is....but nothing makes you want something more than being told you can't have it.

I 800 is minimal and a lot, i mean we all know 299 ferrari f50?s are out there yet we see pictures of them in all colors and owners.

i know for a fact i own an extremely rare tamashii nations figure that was limited to 210 world wide and believe it, it?s not hard to grasp we might be the only 800 batmobile owners who will look into servicing this bad boy for years to come.

I tested my lights for the first time ever last week.

Man. If they really are anywhere near that rare, maybe I should keep mine. I've been saying for years I want to get rid of it cause of how big it is....but nothing makes you want something more than being told you can't have it.

It's funny, because even though I don't think rarity makes my collectibles 'better' -- knowing they will be difficult or impossible to replace does add incentive to keep them because now you can't necessarily just replace it if you change your mind.

With something like the Batmobile the prohibitive size and shipping cost, as well as the issue with getting a flawless one, make it something you don't want to hunt down again regardless of rarity.

Someone connected in some way to the industry (unconfirmed) said on these boards once that most Hot Toys figures had a run in the 3,000 - 5,000 range? Maybe 8,000 for really popular figures?

This is still a niche hobby at the end of the day. I can't imagine they would have made thousands of Batmobiles so I'm still trying to wrap my mind around 800, but given there seem to be less than 30 on this board of dedicated collectors I'm beginning to see how it may make sense.

Too late. I had batteries leak in mine. However I tried a new set and everything still worked. Then I immediately took them out again.

Love the vehicle but quickly outgrew the films, even the first two with Keaton.
