It looks amazing! Can't wait to pair these two together! Epic! I pre-ordered the scuptured cape, just wish the base was able to rotate, but after seeing the video's of the fabric cape, still not sure why is couldn't be partly rotatable.

This isn't a very flattering pic. Looks old and weathered.

Might not be able to rotate with Superman on but pretty sure it can be turned to face anyway you want. He was shown facing the opposite way with the sculpt cape here.

Ordered already.

Put it on payments so the shipping doesn’t hurt so much when it ship.

I’ll have it shipped in a month.

Good hunting everyone!!

How much is it costing you in shipping?

Yeah, not the best from that angle but sure it looks great in person. I'm hoping to see more of the other two sculpts but seems everyone is displaying it with this one so far.

Why are there only photos of that one head? Aren't there supposed to be 2 or 3 heads? Are all of them looking downward like that?

No only one head looks down like that. There other two do not.

Yes please! Love to hear your thoughts and of course the more pics the better.

How do the three portraits look in hand?

Ok I’ll throw up some pics, I took a bunch, including just the headsculpts. Give me some time and post em soon.

To be honest my main issue with this piece is the portraits unfortunately but I’ll get to that soon.

***Discalaimer****...this post is far too long, and i dont blame you for not reading it, but i feel everything i wrote here is important (except for the first paragraph)

ok guys so i got the second box, (the base) last night after getting the the first box last friday night.

I'll start by saying im a Massive superman fan so this was day one P.O. for me and no character comes close, i have loved superman since i was a very small child and the character stuck with me over the years and never floundered in popularity with me, i know hes not always the most popular or the most "cool" but i never waivered, its always been Superman so i was so excited when P1 debuted this....that being said i do have some gripes about the statue. please remember these are my nitpickings, im not bashing anyone who loves this or want to dismiss anyones excitement for this piece in any way. its just my initial thoughts after having slept on it.

first, im not crazy about how large the base is, but whatever, its actually quite beautiful and the angels are very well done!, you will not save any depth space by leaving the angels off the base as the platforms they sit on are fixed to the base so keep that in mind if that is something you were hoping to do. also there is a ring with ball bearings that goes between base and the post that superman fits into, dont forget to use this, because the post will rotate without it but you should use it.

im not going to get into the whole sculpted vs fabric cape debate, i chose fabric because plain and simple im just a fan of fabric capes, i enjoy the posing aspect and the look better than a sculpted cape, so good on you Prime 1 for giving the customer both options. i will say this, the fabric cape will frustrate you at first, i dont care how much experience you have with statues, getting this attached right out of the gate will make you question "why did i get the fabric cape!?! lol, because like i said its frustrating,

however, the trick is, you need to pose the cape how you want it before you try attaching it to the body of the statue, the way it comes right out of the box and you unfold it, it is very large and round and if you try attaching first it is hard to keep the tabs inserted as you try to bend the wire in the cape witch is very strong, its almost like bending a wire hangar (not that bad but close) in saying all that, once you got it posed reletively close to how you want it to look, getting it attached is no big deal, and once you do it 2-3 times it becomes very easy, also keep in mind, the head needs to be attached to the statue and then you attach the cape, you cant put the cape on first even though you may feel thats what you need to do...its head than cape (clear plastic tabs are attached to end of cape)) and get inserted into small holes. as for the look and feel of the cape, its gorgeous, its flows, it's smooth not too heavy and not cheap feeling at all in my opinion, the yellow S shield on the back is VERY well done, its a fully sewn on Patch and not an iron on or sticker or printed on. its pretty sweet imo.

as for the statue itself, its very well done, paint app very well done, textures on suit, the S shield all fantastic, my only gripe on the statue is that i feel the arch in his back is just too much, i wish he was straighter, the lean backward i feel is too aggressive, just how i feel, i know many of you may not have an issue with this at all.

as for the portraits, this is my biggest gripe with this piece, and keep in my mind its only my opinion, i knew what i was buying so its not like i was caught off guard with what portraits were gonna be available, however i do wish they had included a headsculpt that looked straight ahead, because you dont get that....you get one looking straight ahead but looking down, the other two are looking off to the side, one regular and one heat vision with a much more furrowed brow, i didnt think i would use the heat vision but i think its my favorite, the reason for this is the other two just look to "rough" the paint app i feel is too dark, the skin tone i feel is too dark and it just makes for yet again an older looking superman, the hair is fantastic on all three headsculpts, but the paint apps on the portraits just feel to bland imo. any way sorry for rambling i will post pics now if anyone has any specific questions please feel free to ask, ill give you my opinion, if there is a certain pic you want to see that you dont see in the pics im about to post, just ask, ill do my best to take them and throw them up asap.

Please keep in mind, the lighting is horrible, its a iphone 8 plus camera and supes faces isnt as dark as it appears in the pictures, theres a stupid ceiling fan that is casting a shadow on his face because the statue sits very high, as you can see from the comparison pics next to miller bats.

Thanks so much on the pictures, great job.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of the head sculpts. They just look....I don't know. Off. As incredible as the presence is on this statue, I don't know man. I'm so, so endlessly back and forth on getting them both, or just getting the DKR Superman as he looks amazing to me too.
