Sideshow 1/6 Jabba and Throne

Yeah i would’ve much rather had the relaxed licking tongue than the BDSM with Slave Leia one. The bugged-out eyes aren’t big enough plus the arms included are all relaxed/pointing, not the raised flailing in pain arms head need. Also head would be tilted back further if anyone wanted to do that choking shot. Customize a sculpted relaxed tongue sound like a plan

Hahaha....BDSM, that's funny. I'm not a fan of how that arm is pointing to the left. It's like Jabba is blaming a fart on Bib. I just prefered how the original was pointing more forwardly. So yeah, would've been nice if they gave us another set of arms..plus a mouth with some minor, regular off-white drool.

A bit apprehension with even applying a little acrylic paint. I suppose some white gloss with a bit of green gloss added, etc. will come out alright..to dull the brightest down a little. Eh..I think it'll still end up looking like the Hasbro Jabba's. I have no clue what they used for the drool on the first one. It's got that perfect translucent white look.

I would be very interested in buying such a casting but I'm not exactly optimistic a good option will surface. The casting would need to be magnetic and would require a very accurate fit. The paint would need to spot on match the rest of the statue.

If a different casting isn't an option I still feel the provided piece would be greatly improved with a nice repaint of some of the drool. Either way I'll have a good look at it, I will soon have this in hand

To me, matching the paint would be the only tricky thing. And I think it would still sit in okay without the magnet (though adding a magnet isn't a huge deal.)

The problem with the repaint is maybe you could go milky (the drool varies between clear, clear green and milky) but they sculpted the drool so you can't go clear, and you're still left with that weirdly even sculpted drool pattern. It's the symmetry that ruins the illusion as much as the Raiders logo paint scheme.

That was literally LOL.

I also wonder if you could cast an arm and reorient it. They wouldn't difficult to cast. But again - paint matching. Jabba's arms/hands are surprisingly expressive in the movie and so not sure why they went with a full-resting set of arms.

Glad I unintentionally brought a laugh to someone lol. I definitely want the resting arms, but some arms up in the air that aren't pointing or gripping would've been nice.

The whole concept of casting and making molds is completely foreign to me. The most fancy thing I've done like that is sculpt a piece of clay to make a 1/6 hat. I'd love to actually know someone else into art....but nah lol.

All the time! I'm always wishing I could get back all the money I spent over the years on toys, action figures, and model kits, that are now all collecting dust in my garage (and in too poor a condition to actually sell).

So that I could then spend that money on new toys that will collect dust and seem like a waste of money in 20 years.

While trying to make room for this guy, though, I made room for the SS Speeder Bike and realized how tiny that is compared to this.

Hahaah... man I picked up a Bib a couple weeks ago and whenever I finally set this all up that’s all I’m gonna think of now! Maybe I’ll use the wide open eyes and the drooly tongue mouth posing Bib covering his face in disgust. Jabba in Huttese, “Wasn’t me!”

I'm mentally preparing myself to sell my ST figs, go completely OT and get Jabba with the funds. I really don't want to miss this one and I've been burnt waiting for other releases only to have them sell out locally. Stupid first-world problems.
