The leaked photos from a while back (that match up to all the new media we are seeing) showed her Endgame look. Her hair is different, but the costume is pretty much the same.

Hahaha, same! My Arwen from Asmus and Weta should get here this month, and then I just have Wasp for myself and my husband has two SW ones for himself on PO. This, and Endgame in general is really going to be anything but Endgame for our collection. My bank account is already weeping.

I'm fortunate that money isn't really an issue when it comes to collecting these figures, but man, space certainly is. I'm trying to dramatically scale back my Hot Toys purchases simply because I am running out of room for them.

I didn't pick pick up anything from Infinity War and Captain Marvel may end up being the only Marvel figure I get from Endgame.

Money and space are both issues for me but here's how I think about it. I am glad that HT figures in general hold their values well over time especially compared to other hobbies (not just thinking about collecting action figures). For example, the Captain America First Avenger figure (MMS156) originally retailed for $169.99. Looking at the latest sales on ebay, that figure brand new sold for about $350. Used ones sold from anywhere between $180 (plus shipping) to $250.

Thus, my personal approach is to "recycle" my figures over time. Once I've reached my limit in terms of space, I'll choose one or two figures that I either want to upgrade or can live without and sell those. I don't always expect to make money when selling my figures but I can reasonably expect to get back at least 50% of the figure's original value, which I'll use to offset the cost of the new figure I want. It's not bad considering that we need to spend money for most of the things we want in life anyway, such as buying a new shirt, going on vacation, or even eating out.

For me, this approach addresses my concerns about limited money and space. Just my 2 cents.

I tend to upgrade my figures and sell off the old one or buy new parts for the old figure. That’s how I deal with the space problem. Generally one per character but my Thor is a Frankenstein

I am wondering, will an Endgame version be released considering the films are close together? Also I don’t foresee any difference in her costume. I am debating on getting this version, or Endgame if one is made.

This could be a situation like Black Panther being close to Infinity War (so it's unlikely we'll ever see an Infinity Panther) ... Even the most of the Guardians ended up Infinity figureless because there wasn't much change from Guardians 2.. Aside from Teenage Groot of course being the obvious, and Rocket basically being rereleased to cash in on the Thor/Groot/Rocket bromancing.

So honestly, I wouldn't bet the dog on Bree being made for Endgame. IF they'd given us the green suit for the solo movie figure, I'd say they are saving the hero suit for the movie, but they didn't.

The only thing I'd bet on with Infinity is that the six core heros will have figures made of them in their hero suits. And I really don't know why people have been panicking about the rumoured realm suits. If they do actually appear in the Endgame movie, we aren't likely to get figures of them..

Well the jacket, (to all the people wondering why it’s there) is there to homage this cover from the DeConnick run but it’d be sick as hell if they actually showed her wearing it in the movie.

That’s a good strategy. And then there’s the occasional Hot Toy that doubles in value or does better even. Using your collection as currency gives a lot of collecting flexibility.

I’m with you on that. I went after the versions (I) personally thought were the best comic representation, which actually lead to me having a lot of now “older” versions of characters. Example Hot Toys AOU Captain America. I still think this had the best suit in the color scheme, and the magnetic shield is still the best in being hassle free and loved all the accessories the figure came with. The only figure I’ll have two of In the end will be Iron Man ( diecast mark 6 and future die cast mark7) and war machine (diecast mark 1 and the punisher war machine) even though it is pretty much overhauled as frank castle the punisher and not really war machine.

I’m not looking forward to another likely downgrade in the final product. Can’t safely preorder anything right now from HT

I'm sorry but what hot toys figures had a downgrade? I thought the pics we see in the pre order are the finished product, have heard of them improving it but not being downgraded?

True, Endgame could be brutal on the old bank accounts! :crying I was quite happy to hear that my pre-ordered ThreeZero Arya Stark figure had finally been shipped - great that's one off the list I thought... then I see the announcement for this! So am back to square one! :lol

Anyways I ended up getting the deluxe version of Captain Marvel as it was priced cheaper than I thought it would be! :yess:

I would be surprised if they made an Endgame one. Similar situation last year with Black Panther and it’s doubtful this will be as successful as BP. These movies are even CLOSER to each other than those two

How many Infinity Wars figures did they show that never got made yet?

Star-Lord v3.... Corvus.... the Outrider beastie.... Drax... wasn't there a Scarlet Witch too...

Yeah and “Black Panther” but it was the same thing pretty much. Vision too

Some arguably were just show placeholders using previous figures like Loki and Scarlet Witch (with a hair dye). Star-Lord was a design tweak from memory though?

You ordered before seeing the movie?! What a newb mistake. For all we know, it could be female Green Lantern.

What? If I like the look of a figure I get it. I don't care if I like the movie or not. As a matter of fact I don't like comic book movies. Usually I see them years after release most of the time so I usually have figures from movies I haven't seen or plan to see anytime soon.

Are you for real or being sarcastic? Can't tell... :rotfl

Brilliant! Sell two to buy one. This also helps you get out of the hobby entirely eventually.

I have been lucky (and patient) and never lost money on a figure I have sold. Most of my sales made me quite a bit of profit.

Even the rare figures that command high prices I managed to get at close to retail (eventually)

Quite a few were gotten below retail.

The key is tempering the “gotta have it now” monster in your psyche and looking for the deals.

Just got Doc Brown BTTF2 for 197 shipped.

The only figure I have never gotten close to retail is Bespin Luke....and I would bet on a reissue before getting that set for close to retail.
Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....
