First 4 Figures recently did a scale model of Samus Aran's Gunship from Metroid Prime 2. This time it's the ship from the first Prime game. I passed on the first release and somewhat regretted it, but this one (imo) is a better design so I'm definitely picking it up. :drool

12 inches in length. $300. Release date: Q2 2011. Limited Edition of 750.

Introducing the Metroid Prime Gunship by First 4 Figures! We are proud to be continuing our Metroid Gunship Series with the Gunship featured in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Hunters!

Samus Aran’s Gunship in Metroid Prime is capable of inter-galactic flight, has antigravity landing pods and is battle ready. If battle becomes unavoidable, the ship is outfitted with enough firepower to survive firefights against bigger and more numerous foes as it is equipped with twin Power Beam turrets and a retractable rear-mounted Plasma Beam cannon.

The Metroid Prime Gunship has been accurately recreated from the original game files. This allows for unprecedented levels of realism and accuracy. Internal LEDs are placed in a way that creates a stunning light effect. The windscreen, gun batteries, hull and read engines all light up. On the actual gunship, the windscreen and the four engines at the back all light up. The lights fade out slowly when you turn off the lights.

The point where the ship connects to the base has a swivel joint which lets you tilt and angle the ship to any angle that you want. Please note, you cannot rotate the model on the joint or you will damage the internal wires.

Comes in deluxe full color packaging, hand numbered base, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity which allows you to purchase the same number of the model next in the Gunship series.

This is the second in the Gunship series. If you wish to collect the same product number, you must authenticate your previous statue in the series (Metroid Prime II: Echoes Gunship).

OOOOOOOOOOO!!! But is this really what it looked like? I don't remember so many antennae sticking out.

But it's still so PRETTYYYY

Yep that's how it was in the first game.

it's funny, even though I like the more retro proportions of the echoes gunship, this piece is much more stunning i think. wish i had the money for it, but i've got other pieces on the brain, though this thing is rediculously cool
that, and the fact that prime was my favourite title for the gamecube
EDIT: watching that video, man that game was amazing... in the top ten ever for me
