It's easy to be a cynic and say Gainax is milking this property for all it's worth, but I don't care, I'm excited and enjoyed Evangelion 1.0. Looking forward to this.

The way I view Evangelion now versus when I first watched the series as a teenager is completely different. It's odd what changes and what doesn't in over a decade.

Thanks for posting the trailer!

Sweet. I still haven't seen You are (not) Alone yet. From what I hear, there won't be an official US version until November. :monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Totally. I was introduced to Eva when I was 16. At that time it was a silly giant robot cartoon with zany characters and had a scene with some weird dude getting, uh, "excited" over a girl in the hospital. All good stuff for a teenage boy.

After *many* more viewings of the series, I see it for what it is and it blows me away every time I watch.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is the greatest piece of art ever created. Or maybe I'm exaggerating. I can't tell.

I don't know anything about the reboots, but I'd be willing to check them out. I do have a very strong feeling that they'll come nowhere near the original, but you never know.

Have you seen the Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone? I liked it more than the respective episodes in the tv series because Shinji wasn't as emo in Eva 1.0.

You should definitely check it out if you haven't.

Holy crap, this is playing in US theaters this week! :horror Limited release and nowhere near me though. :monkey2
