Help choosing glue.

Hi guys.
Anyone knows what would be good glue to use for assembling a 3D printed item, like a blaster replica? The parts will have 'interlocking' areas, just need to make sure they hold well together.
 
I'd probably do a two-part epoxy, myself. And even with those pre-locking parts, you might have to look into fiberglass resin to smooth out those seams. Any real pressure points that might separate, it might be good to drill a hole in each side and secure it with a metal dowel rod just to be safe.

At least, that's what I would've done back in my propbuilding days.

It comes pre-drilled, with 3d printed dowels.
Will epoxy expand as it dries? That is why I do not want to use gorilla glue....
