New Diorama Experiments

Hi all, work in tv and film creating full size sets, props, armour and breakaways and have started to get into collecting 1/6th scale figures and have felt there is something missing when I display them, so have just been tinkering with a few ideas (and have plenty more in the pipe). I have attached a couple of prototype ideas, they are from a material that can be easily worked and customised and takes paint brilliantly. Would love to know what peeps think of then to date. Welcome! The rock dio with the Mark I looks fantastic. Would like to see it all colored up, I am sure it would look very realistic with proper paint.

Is that plaster? I've always wanted to know how to make plaster etc look like rock and stone - So I can do a castle wall/background. The possibilities would be endless.
