That's pretty bad when huge, super-center stores can't find room for something in a slightly bigger package like the Unleashed line.
Yeah Richard, but it all goes back to the supermarket space/profit ratio theory.
Cram as much stuff into as little space as possible to maximize your profit based on every square foot of retail space.
You can have 3 unleashed figures which sell for $14.99 each or 20 figures, (4 hooks and 5 figures per hook), of EP3 3 3/4 Inch figures which net you back $120.00 (Guessing they sell for $6.00 retail each), So in the same space it takes to sell $45.00 worth of merchandise, the store can make back $120.00.
This is also providing the small figures sell out. ROTS these days are sitting.
It's stupid, but that is what I was told.
The smaller versions of these are not going to be as nice as the current 6 1/2 inches ones.
The last series coming out will sell very well. Considering it's the end of the line and many people wanted a Han Solo Stormtrooper.
The case packs not even anymore on this series, which is though for dealers.
Where as you used to get 6 pieces (2 complete sets in a case), this series differs.
They are re-issuing the last Vader (from the current series) and the case packs go like this.
2 Han Storm Trooper
1 Vader
2 Clone Troopers
1 Wookie
So basically you get 1 set per case. I love the Vader, but would rather have 2 sets per case to sell to my customers.
Such as life.
Thanks,
Mike
