That's beautiful! Can you direct me to the facebook group? I found a 1/6 kit for the car but 900 pounds, not $300. They did have a smaller version for 300, so I'm wondering if there's really a 1/6 for 300 or if it's a mistake? (I'm slightly dyslexic, seems like somethig I might do!).

The Facebook group is listed in the photos.🙂 it's the prop and adventures group.

The 3D KIT is on a solo named site and is 300 pounds, not dollars which is where the confusion might be. I'll try to find the site later if I can!

"Hope is a Mistake..If you can't fix what's broken you'll go insane" this thing is amazing in hand.

My bad for putting the dollar sign in, but yeah, the 300 pound one is 1/16, not 1/6.

1/6 versions are 800 pounds, and that's before shipping to the USA and then taking the time to build and paint it.

...Joost?

Furiosa is out and great but all the madmax threads are cold like turkey.
Loved the movie…hopefully somebody is working on a Dementus and an AT-J Furiosa as we speak. VTS already has molds and patterns for most of the later, would just need a new headsculpt, maybe some different accessories.

Hows the Present Toys track record in terms of pre order / prototype pictures and how the actual released product looks like?
Is there a chance that their Tom Hardy Mad Max will look the same as in the pre order pictures?
I'm interested in a Tom Hardy Mad Max figurine but only if it really looks like Tom Hardy.
And i'm not interested in expensive custom made headsculpts.

Hard to say, as they seem to be a bit hit or miss. All figures have some drop off in paint quality from proto to release, should be the same sculpt shown though. I can only speak on what I have in hand, but their Jack Torrence and Indiana Jones, while definitely a bit down-graded in paint, were still pretty solid for the price.

Worse case scenario, it’ll come out a little clean, which isn’t the hardest thing to remedy yourself. I would be more concerned that the leather jacket and pants material will be too thick and clean, but we will see.

The headsculpt looks pretty good in the pre order pictures. Maybe not 100% Tom Hardy, more like 85%
but definitely a well made piece. But i'm afraid the paint job overall looks almost too good,
like too detailed. Its a 180-250 USD/€ unlicensed product, so it seems a little unrealistic to achieve these kind of details.
So i have to assume that the actual release wont look like that.

Yeah I'll be curious to see if any third party figures get released for this. I wasn't crazy about the movie, but would probably still get a Furiosa in that full leather outfit she wears at one point. Don't need another in the final FR outfit though.

Unless it’s properly scaled this time.
Those first in-hand pics of the VTS coming out might have been the most disappointing moment I’ve experienced since getting into the hobby…that said, AT-J is about an inch or two shorter than Hardy, so VTS would be a bit closer this time if they rereleased it with a new head and extended ankle pegs. Throw in Dementus’ cape, maybe the seed.
