@ dieguito_89..Thanks for the pics! In the 2nd pic it looks like he has his hair pinned up in a bun:lol Sexy!

I didnt realize that the head was attached to the neck with this figure. I just assumed the head & neck were separate. Ive never owned a figure where the head & neck are one. Are they easier to get off?

@ Kuzeh..Did you just buy the clothes separate for the figure or did you purchase the entire thing (clothes & two headsculpts)?

Great fig, nonetheless!

*EDIT*: Nevermind Kuzeh, went back & read..Saw what you did...

Yeeaaaaaaahhh veeery sexy!!! :naughty :rotfl

I think it would have been better with the neck sculpted in the body such as Billie Jean, but I guess it will be more comfortable to separate the back hair part....

why is Micheal's fly open?:dunno:(

Because.. nah.. too easy. :lol

Alright. I've got $118 rewards points from Sideshow. Should I preorder Bad DX or get the Thriller Michael? Hmmmmm, decisions.

Like I've said in the past, these figures aren't my thang but if I were getting one for free and had to choose I would get the DX over the Thriller version. Even though I prefer the MJ from the Thriller days (last time I actually listened to any of his music) the DX figure overall looks like a much better figure IMO.

Found this nice picture slideshow video.

That's kind of how I'm feeling as well. I much prefer black Michael to White Michael. Definitely prefer Thriller to Bad, but Off The Wall would be my Michael of choice so it seems as though the way to go would be the better looking figure (DX) and hope they make the black Michael I want later.

While Thriller is one of the worse figure HT release last year, this DX Bad is simply one of the best this year, every thing from sculpt to outfit got major improvement compare to the proto, specially the sculpt. Must have

Thats a harsh statement ..so the original proto sculpt was better then the smiling face we ended up,i get that but its still a great figure overall thats almost a two for the price of 1 type of deal.

Wow those pics are great, should get my MJ Thriller figure on monday, only cost me £99. So I will try and get this as well, looks amazing! Likeness is spot on from what I've seen.

I know. Where does he get off saying it's the worst figure of last year. Hardly.

:goodpost::clap Yeah the head was a disappointment but hardly a Bad figure (Excuse the pun) I'm happy i've got this and Bad MJ in my collection representing the King of pop..

It's too bad the likeness seems to have gotten a lot worse since the prototypes were shown, his bottom eyelashes look horrible too and HT still seems to have not perfected PERS.

^^The eyes themselves are fine and are actually mini works of art when you look at the detailing they're given. However the problem with the PERS system in general is to do with the expression of the face sculpt. When we move our eyes, our expression changes subtly in the process. As the Bad MJ sculpt is somewhat neutral, certain positionings of the eyes throws things off. It was the same with the Joker.
This whole PERS thing has always been just a gimmick adding nothing to the figure...i mean how many of us are really gonna sit there playing with the eyes every 5 minutes? I'll pick a natural position then leave it on my shelf, end of story.
While i'm moaning, does anyone else think the DX line has been one of the most ill conceived and directionless marketing lines released from any toy company? Apart from the PERS. We still don't know what DX represents as Hot Toys 'Premiere' line and what direction it's going in terms of releases. Lets be honest, they could integrate PERS into their MMS if they really wanted to. The notion that the tailoring of the outfits and accessories are of a higher standard is a bit of a smokescreen too given how amazing the work is on the 'Standard' MMS line. Its all just too random and badly thought out that even today we're still scratching our heads over it...
