Hello,

I have been seeing great custom works where people built a 1/6 custom The Dark Knight bat-suit cage.

I am wondering if anyone do commission work that can built me one.

Thank you.

I think a couple of members here already did one and it was for a group commission.

I hope Pennyworth doesn't mind, but here's the list of materials he used for his that I asked for through pm. I haven't gathered them all yet, but I'm waiting for the instructions (I don't want to rush him):

Here's a list of materials. I don't think I've missed anything...bear in mind the measurements may vary depending on how you build yours.

Base and Ceiling - 1/2 inch MDF (X2 for the ceiling)

Support beams - (2) 1" diameter dowel rods 13" long

Door frames/compartment support arms - (25) 3/12" square wood rods 12" long

Metal mesh (from desktop organizer)

Base grille - 1/8" square metal rod cut into 5 segments, 5" long

1/8" round metal rod for hanging suit, 4" long

1/8" thick black foam for rear door covers & base pad

1/4 " thick black foam for compartment base

1/12" thick wood for compartment sides

floral foam for compartment inserts

1 set of battery powered LED lights - I used Tomytec (ebay link: https://cgi.ebay.com/LED-Lighting-Kit...item1c14c4a62b)

thin spackle for ceiling texture

metal finish duct work tape for support beam accents

assorted acrylic paints (some mixed to achieve specific effects) (black, brown, silver, chrome, gold) Hi gloss clear coat, textured silver, black matte, grey primer, black grease crayon....

assorted Hot Toys Batman accessories, batarangs, sticky bomb guns (4), grappel guns, grenades, etc..

Hot Toys V1 Batman with hands removed, boots loose, and headsculpt with eyes and mouth removed

Tools used - Mitre saw, jigsaw, drill, Dremel, wooden clothes pins, sand paper - various grades, black sharpie, a LOT of super glue. I use LOCTITE control gel.

That's a start. I'll start to get the directions done next. Let me know what questions you have.

I hope Pennyworth doesn't mind

No problem Ryu, I was eventually going to post the list on my thread. ;)

Jed had PM'd me earlier and I gave him the list...sounded like he preferred to commission one rather than build one.

1mod6 produces a premium piece - insane quality:

Also, intothevoid purchased one from bLeau aQuino:

Good luck, Jed.

Yupp Bleau's is a damn good job - not as premium quality and as 100% accurate as 1mod6's but its also a bit cheaper so depends how much you want to spend

Yeah I contacted 1mod6 but he never replied

Besides who ever said that this was a "cheap" hobby. Like most things, you get what you pay for. It's just a matter of the quality / accuracy that you want.

A board member was kind enough to send me an email about this thread.

Thank you.
