Selene (since KAI is doing sculpt now) WIP

I started this for a friend and customer of mine in Austria.
I wanted KIA's head and boots, but alas, it seems that
only the head will be made. So, what the heck, I started making my own
and I'll tell how you can to.

Here's the base figure. I put her on a small chested Triad Alpha
body. Used a Triad Catsuit 1.0, had Robin at One_sixth_scale_king
make the design on the corset for me. I made the arm gauntlets
& holsters out of some black leather scrap & old DID holsters.





Got the boots & jacket done today. I think I nailed the boots, except for the
number of straps and buckles. They fit pretty tight on the Triad Alpha figures feet as well.

Boots are made from leather Matilda army boots and some buckles off
of some dolllife punk boots. Then I painted to match and weathered them slightly.





Jacket made from (I'd prefer leather trench) Dolllifes male leatherette trench, modified to fit.
Don't think material strong enough to go for epoxy design on the back & sleeves.




Now just need to get head painted by Boot25(john) or pick up KIA's finished head and she'll be just about done.

I think I got a good start on her and I was sick of waiting
to see if KAI studios would finish theirs. Glad KAI finally came around though.

That is SO GREAT! I LOVE it!! I want one!

I just got a Selene head from ebay (not sure if someone here made it). I also got the ZC Girl "Cat" and the Wild Work "Wonder World Killer", but THANK YOU, because now I know what bodysuit I need to get a hold of.

Was it this one & mailed to the zip code 98248?

Then that was my Selene head...

And yes, the Triad Catsuit 1.0 is the best I've found.
Mainly because it's 4-way stretch and holds up a lot
better then all the others(which are 2-way). They just
did a reissue of it and have it on there website.

BEAUTIFUL job on that sculpt!

I also ordered a Monique wig - Evelyn in off black. I want to see how bulky those wigs actually are. Been doing lots of searches for size 4 wigs. I can hold out and wait for the right one. Also found someone on line that custom makes size 4 wigs, but don't see any pics of their work... Do you already know what you are doing for the hair?

Actually, I have a guy (sunny's world wigs) on ebay, that custom hand makes
the wigs. This is one that I added the wet look to. So if that other
wig doesn't work, here's a link.

The come a little long and you have to cut and style them.
There is kind of a language barrier, but you just have to tell
him to make his smallest size possible and they work fine.
That's what I do and they are perfect. This guys does some amazing
work.

Once I get them, and the head is painted; I set the part and front
hair line where I need it and tack it down with some super glue.
Then working the rest front to back, I pull it tight and tack it in
several other spots until finished. Once it's on for good, I cut
to straighten it out and style it the Selene way.

A few things i noticed off the bat that could probably be fixed pretty easy. Her boots have more of a heel to them in the film and are less bulcky. Also i would go with sculpted hair. The real hair imo doesnt look right. You can get that nice wet look with sculpted hair better.

Yeah, I know what you mean on the head. I had a head with sculpted hair, found it not as life like and the mold's no good anymore.



But ultimately it's more of a personal choice and the friend I'm making it for wants real hair.

Also I have reference pictures of the actual boots and
I knew the sole & heal is much thicker & higher, I may or may not change that
, again based on what my friend likes.
I think the bulk problem has more to do with the slightly thicker
legs on the Alpha body than the boots themself. Also the straps
and buckles are slightly larger than the one on the real boots,
so that may add that look to it.

Looks fantastic so far! Great job on putting it all together.

I'd really love to see a mass produced quality version someday but I think it's a long shot.

Actually, the rumor mill has it, that Hot Toys is looking to
get the license, but nothing firm yet. I'm sure they
are the best one's to do the Underworld Characters justice.


As far as pictures, I will post plenty of them when Selene
is finished, that you can be sure of....

Really nice I have just ordered a catsuit and the head with casted hair.
Will see how it looks when I get it but might go with the real hair wig.

Who's head with sculpted hair you getting? Is there another
one out somewhere that's any good?

Looks to me like the same one posted above heres a pic.

Maybe not the best but only one I found.
I also found the triad catsuit just need some good boots jacket and pistols and holsters/harness.

Any help would be welcome

there's a kit from some chinese company a few months back that had some pretty good guns, the head, the corset and some boots. they did a tomb raider and that was pretty good. i have that set and the sculpts arent too bad.

the was the Wonderworld figure released by another company, but the guns aren't accurate. but the jacket was pretty decent. the head was too barbie-ish for my taste though
