Had this on my computer and a thread i got started over in the Star Wars forum made me think of it so I decided to post it.

First off how I come up with this list

I have to see a film at least 3 times for it to be able to make the list. A film that is great once may or may not be so good a second time.

I then rate my films with this star rating.

***** = All Time Classic
**** = Excellent
*** = Very good

And then I put them in order. The Star system really helps me organize them.

The List does not go down under 3 and a 1/2 stars. Now the list changes all the time with viewings of films. My top 10 usually stays the same with However Star Wars and Empire just switched. They are in no way ranked by what I think is a better made film just how I enjoy them.
Anyways here it is, enjoy and share your own list.

I am not a T2 fan boy. It's good but it's not what everyone makes it out to be IMO. I think it rates as low as it does for me because of all the "T2 is so great" fans out there. I mean it is basically just a glossy remake of the original.

Geez, we have a hell of a lot of the same tastes in movies. Of your top 100 "30 Days of Night" and "Carlito's Way" are the only ones I actually dislike.

Kudos for listing "Last of the Mohicans" and "Face/Off." You don't see them mentioned much these days but they're great films with epic scores.

Which King Kong? I'm assuming 1933 but Peter Jackson's is actually one of my personal all time faves.

Good list, lots of my tops are in there too. Glad to see King Arthur, Tombstone and 30DON get recognition.

Well Khev you must have great taste in Movies :)

Actually I ment the Peter Jackson King Kong. I love the 1933 version also but find that I would rather watch the new one.

Good call on the scores for LotM and Face/Off. LotM is one of my all time fav film score and is pert of the reason I love the film so much. Face/Off's score brings heart to the film.

King Arthur gets a bad rap. I thought it was one of the better 'sword and Sandle" film made. It's not as good as Gladiator but it's a great film.

King Arthur is another film that has a Great film score that helps lift the film to a higher stature.
