Kumik Head on a Cy Girl Body?

Does anybody know how or if you can put a Kumik head on a Cy Girl body? I'm trying to do a custom figure and would like to use a Cy Girl body I have, but they have the elongated neck posts and the Kumik head looks ridiculous on it. I read somewhere about taking the plug out of the Kumik head, but it still won't fit on the Cy Girl neck post.

Any advice?

The best way I would say removes the inner neck join from Kumik head...then fill it with hot glue and before it turns solid, place it over the CY girl body....
