Hey Art forum, I've been working on repainting the Jakks Batman figures and am liking the technique I've used but wondering if there is a better way for what I'm doing. I have a unpainted Daredevil head sculpt and some more Jakks figures to work on so looking for guidance or confirmation that my method works.
Here's what I'm doing as I don't have airbrush capabilities:
-Paint head sculpt all normal skin tone
-Use citadel mud texture to create texture and brown town where beard will be.
-use a lighter based light skin tone to go over entire face with a light touch. Not dry brushing but almost.
-Then use citadel shade oil to shade entire face.
I like the way it looks aside from the shine in bright light. Here are pics of the two I've done over the past week.
