    Hawkman 1:6 with removable helmet

Hey SanShou, Try covering the head with saran or aluminum foil (I use foil) and sculpt over it. Have to be careful in peeling it off, and you'll need to do some shaving/sanding inside the helmet so it goes on and off easily. Chest emblem I designed on my laptop and printed out, but you could...

    Hawkman 1:6 with removable helmet

Hey thanks for the input, guys. Not sure which headsculpt it is; I bought it on ebay and re-painted it. The body is a 1:6 Chris Redfield. Cheers sb

    Hawkman 1:6 with removable helmet

Second crack at Hawkman in the 12" scale. Everything hand made on this one: helmet, wings, mace, boots and costume. Wings are bendable but only gently. He's up on Ebay if anyone's interested: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130449452011

    Custom Psylocke 1:6

Custom order using DCD's 13" figure as base. Costume hand-sewn, sword outsourced from Monkey Depot, some facial re-painting, replaced DCD weird feet with heeled shoes.

    Great DC 1:6 Figures

Maybe, but online etiquette's not a new concept. Most seem able to grasp it. Sure anyone has the right to be "tough, rude, blune and overly critical," but the rest of us have a right to tell that person he's behaving like a d_ck. Community's are like that, even online ones.

    Great DC 1:6 Figures

Those sculpts look like actual people. Loads of personality and individuality. Just fantastic.

    Great DC 1:6 Figures

Might be the same guy from the DC Boards who was slamming customizers there. Either way, honesty and politeness aren't mutually exclusive. Real 'grown ass' men know this.

    Great DC 1:6 Figures

    Fantastic work.

Question for other customizers (and custom customers)...

To other customizers (or customers): If you charge a deposit on a custom order (I just started doing this after being burned twice), do you return it if the customer changes his mind/asks for unreasonable changes in the finished product? My instinct is to return the deposit... A new customer...

Diamond Comics 1/4 Wonder Woman Statue: Customized by SilentSurfer

Fantastic repaint on the face. Difference is night and day. The teeth particularly bring it up to a new level.

    Customizing DC Direct 13" Blunders

Hey thanks. Jester: The gold cloth is straightforward 4-way stretch gold lame (pronounced lamay... there's usually an accent egu over the e). Very stretchable.

    Customizing DC Direct 13" Blunders

Have to update the site, but all the pics are at https://www.flickr.com/photos/21242421@N04/ They're broken into sets along the right hand margin. There's a few pages of sets now I think, so click "More Sets" when you reach the bottom of the margin.

    Customizing DC Direct 13" Blunders

I like the figures, but mostly for custom purposes.

    13" Custom Raven and Hawkeye

Hey thanks. Most of the figures are commissions -- you can email me at [email protected]. I'm not big on giving recipes, but if you need help with anything give me a shout and I'll try to give advice, for what it's worth. Again, thanks.

    Fantastic, all of them.

    13" Custom Raven and Hawkeye

Just finished these. Raven's cloak has a wire through the hem for posing, new booted feet from BBI, handmade costume etc. I know Hawkeye's not DC, but he's there too. Just have to add the bow and arrows (they're back home at the moment) : * more pics at https://www.flickr.com/photos/21242421@N04/

    Custom 13" Wolverine and Cyclops

Just finished these using DCD's 13" figure as base (with some molding and rebuilding). Cyclops' Xs are now decals, though shown as painted here in the pics (paint looked too messy).

    Custom 13" Iron Man

Thanks for the suggestion. I use the design elements I like. I'm not married to one artist's style or duplicating a style guide.

    Custom 13" Iron Man

Tried going with all-metal for this at first (red sections at least) but ended up using molded leather instead. Molding the leather takes a lot of time and patience (there's a whole process to it) but it gave a cleaner look while still looking solid enough to represent armour. Have to use real...
