No, but Hot Toys has done a good job of convincing people it is. A lot of people equate heavier to higher quality and are willing to pay a premium for it.

This makes the decision not to make the Mark I taller even more perplexing. Or maybe they already have a plan to release a taller version a few years down the road.

I got the Stealth Mark 7 on sale and actually like it. Not sure I'd pick of any of these origins versions at any price. This stealth version seems to be the best because the clear plastic is not so glaring.

So these got through production QA and many got boxed up and loaded on pallets for delivery - only then was there an issue with the based that was identified? That seems like a shoddy QA process.
