In what order do you rate the Indiana Jones Movies

Having had a chance to rewatch the fifth one, it still holds up pretty well and is solidly in place as my third favorite. Not perfect but as good as could've been hoped for and certainly not the worst series finale I've seen.

Hard to believe TOD turns 40 this year. Sure would be nice if it got a theatrical re-release. I've seen it countless times on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray, but the theatrical experience is always so one of a kind and gives a special dimension films only really have when viewed in a proper theatrical...

Is TLC Anyone Else's Least Favorite?

I wonder if there's others who regard TLC as their least liked of the series even with the two newer films in the mix? Granted all three are pretty interchangable for me (still thought Dial Of Destiny was quite a good film and worthy series finale). But while I still get enjoyment of TLC, it's...

I enjoy them all a great deal as well. Look forward to re-visiting the new one soon since seeing it in theaters. Still pretty unreal to think we finally got a fifth one all this time later.

It's still pretty impressive at 80 he reprised the role, but seeing him at his physical peak in the first two and partaking in much of the physical action. You just can't beat that. Especially during the bridge scene.

I thought Dial Of Destiny was pretty good and for a series finale, certainly not the worst I've seen. But you just can't beat seeing Harrison in his prime in TOD getting down and dirty like he does here. Though wasn't a good amount of the action done with a double because of a back injury or...

In what order do you rate the Indiana Jones Movies

Updated ranking (and one I'm sure will make some heads spin Exorcist-style): TOD ROTLA DOD KOTCS TLC All are very good and I think DOD was a solid finale. As good as could've been hoped for coming 15 years later.

Hype can be the biggest detriment to enjoying certain films. Overtime you create an image in your mind of what you think the movie will be and expect it to, and are naturally disappointed when it's nothing like it.

In what order do you rate the Indiana Jones Movies

I got all caught up in the massive hype back when KOTCS came out, so I'm avoiding the same mistake here.

In what order do you rate the Indiana Jones Movies

It'll be something to see where DOD will rank for many when it's out. I'm cautiously optimistic for it but keeping my expectations low and in-check, unlike when I first saw Crystal Skull.

I'm not really getting a hard-edged vibe so far from what's been seen of DOD but of course the trailers aren't going to reveal everything, which is a good thing. It'd be amazing if we it had anything akin to the mine cart chase.

With Disney at the helm there's a lot that can go wrong.

I'm happy to hear that Dial Of Destiny is said to be tonally more like Raiders and TOD. If it's anything like TOD it should be amazing. DOD really needs to bring back that rip-roaring, intense feeling the first two movies and especially TOD had. TOD leaves you feeling so breathless by the end of it.

In what order do you rate the Indiana Jones Movies

Will be interesting to see where Dial Of Destiny will rank. I'm keeping my expectations low but hope to be really surprised by it.

Such a shame how the TOD wave in the 2008 Hasbro series was the last to see release and thus also the rarest and most pricey. There's a good chance we'll at least get a new Indy toyline next year to coincide with the release of the new film. Such a shame there's never been all that much in the...

I'd pay top dollar for a really good-quality one.

LJN's TOD action figures. You read that right. The same company that made so many awful movie-licensed games back in the day made a TOD toyline (among toylines for other popular properties back in the day). Sadly the Short Round and Willie figures never got made. Supposedly a mine cart and...

It's almost as if during filming Spielberg and Lucas had a bunch of old pulp adventure and EC Horror comics laying around the set and Spielberg would look at a bunch of the images and be like "And I want the next scene to look just like this comic panel!"

The raft as parachute stunt is absurd for sure but I find the movie makes it work. It's no more out there than any other outlandish stunt in the series, which I think is part of the appeal of the series as a whole. Plus I think with more pulpy feel and tone the film was going for it fit. TOD of...

One thing about TOD that always stuck out to me is the opening title, how it's the only one of the series that actually uses the comic book-esque, pulp style whereas the other three using the basic black and white text. I think the opening title (combined with the musical number the film opens...
