EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

I don't mind the idea in principal, but he really deserved a MUCH more epic sendoff than the movie gave him. But among it's many other issues, the entire fight between Picard, Soran and Kirk just looks so incredibly cheap and slapped together. And like something out of a low-budget scifi movie...

RATE or REVIEW The Last Movie You Watched.

Yeah I'm a massive Aliens fan, but the original movie is just so much more gorgeous and beautifully directed. And except for a couple shots looks absolutely timeless. Whereas Aliens feels very much like a product of the 1980s.

And are played by completely different actors, which makes it kinda hard to feel the loss that strongly.

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

I liked it that first time in the theater, but now so much of it makes me cringe, from the cheesy humor to a blubbering Picard to the sappy Christmas scene. And Soran and the Duras sisters make for some incredibly lame villains that barely would have been worth an episode of the TV series. Then...

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Yeah the costume is beautifully sculpted, but it still seems an odd fit to me with the silicone head, and for 2K I would kind of expect to see a fabric outfit. Especially since it's not exactly the most complicated superhero outfit in the world. And even Sideshow managed it (for the most part)...

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

Honestly I'd rather have a Demora Sulu over Harriman. But will probably pass on anything from Generations as I'm just... not a fan.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi - 1/6th scale Darth Vader™ Figure

Received my Vader from Timewalker yesterday. And yeah he does look extremely damn cool. Although I did have to move the belt down over the top of the codpiece to minimize it at least a bit. Lol. And as expected the new led system is clunky as hell and hard to hide the wires for, but the lights...

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Looking forward to seeing the new sculpt, but I wasn't really feeling the pose, fully sculpted outfit, or drab looking colors on this anyway, so will likely still pass. I can only hope P1/Blitzway tackles a Reeve Superman someday.

EXO-6 Star Trek "First Contact" figures

Yeah I switched mine to the QMX sculpt as well. The head is a bit oversized, but still preferable to the Exo one.

Sideshow: The Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection (1:6 figures)

Yikes. Suddenly the Sideshow Munny doesn't look so bad. 😄

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

I thought it was odd at the time, but the collar-less look has actually grown on me quite a bit since then. Makes the uniform seem a bit sleeker and less 1980s.

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

Oh yeah, Garrett would be an automatic purchase for me. And I'd take her over a lot of other supporting characters we're getting.

Hot Toys - The Flash: Young Barry

Honestly even in the heyday of DC and the Snyderverse, I don't think this would have sold very well. It's just a very dorky looking, ugly ass figure. :lol

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Yeah I'm honestly not sure how many of those accessories I'd still be interested in at this point. Maybe Nomad and the TWOK chair, but don't know if I still need Data's Ops station. And think I'd pass on the Borg alcove now.

Hot Toys - The Flash: Young Barry

I enjoyed the movie the first time through but found it cringey as hell on a rewatch. So don't really want to be reminded too much of it. Even if the figure looks pretty cool on its own.

Hot Toys - The Flash: Young Barry

Honestly I wouldn't be too upset if they canceled the other Flash figure as well. I'm kicking myself now for ordering that one. Still want Keaton and Supergirl though.

    Deadpool & Wolverine (July 26th, 2024)

Fun trailer but I honestly think Jackman is looking a little old now to be running around in that costume and hairstyle. And I really wish they had kept his badass (and more age appropriate) Logan look for this movie.

Hot Toys THE BATMAN -1/6 Batman / Batman deluxe / Batman + batsignal set

Those Inart fists are so weirdly sculpted. The HT ones look far more natural to me. And there's no depth to the mouth either. Inart is certainly the better overall figure, but there are still some tiny details that bug the crap out of me. And make me still want to hold onto my HT figure even...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

He said in a livestream that they considered that, but sourcing a bunch of giant magnets like that would have been too difficult or expensive. I think the simplest solution would be to simply have the base open underneath, then we pose the figure how we want and snap the magnets into position...
