I hear you, friend! The lack of waist articulation is a very big downside and it kept me from achieving my vision on some of my pose ideas. But, I suppose this is the price of freedom for the first few figures by GT. AC Cloud and Tifa with the silicone bodies may be the future from here on out and help alleviate the criticism.

You are one of the posing kings in the community and hearing the compliment humbles me.

The Death note figures have a new torso material that makes the articulation look very good compared to the standard plastic they've been using. maybe this one will have the same sort of material.

Upon reading back, oh wow you are correct, I concede and retract my statement. It is going to be ccr version not the single pauldron.

Since the pauldrons can (all too easily? hah) come off, couldn't they just include a single altered pauldron as well? Although the outfit is also a slightly different colour, is that right? because reasons. Are there any other differences?

as someone who owns only one head, because I couldn't afford the deluxe with bike AC Cloud, this would just be an extra body for me and not a way to display a whole other figure, so it's already a tougher sell... Ehh, I really want a Cloud from Remake/Rebirth but if I still can't even do that, then might skip this. Also it's going to have the silicone arms (and part of the body if I remember right), which looks cool but if I'm gonna have a spare body I woulda preferred one that is less inclined to deteriate and one that I could do cooler poses with.. And will the replacement arms also work on this body? if part of the torso is also silicone. Guess all the details will be available soon.

I wonder if for the third game we can finally get precisely what we want. But maybe making another Remake Cloud will always feel to them like breaking their promise of limited editions - which I do respect, and appreciate.

How about Alfred, we gettin Alfred? I'd bite haha.

Limited editions are such bs marketing ploys. I’d love to get a remake Cloud that isn’t like £1000. Toys Era are doing an Aerith I assume you meant lol.

No haha - I'm tempted to get Toys Era Aerith, but was referring to (spoilers for ch 12 of Rebirth)

Limited editions are marketing ploys, overall I'd rather not have them but if we have to, then pretending something is limited when it really isn't is even worse. There've been times I've been debating which figure to get, chosen one that was supposedly (at least implied) limited, only for it then to have a second or third run shortly down the track while the other thing I would've gotten is now OOS and never re-run, which is super frustrating itself. So I guess that's where my statement about respecting at least sticking to it was coming from

I also sadly missed out on the Special Edit of Remake’s Soundtrack.

What sucks even more is that up until the release of FFVII Rebirth, you could find them on eBay still for a reasonable price.

Then all of a sudden all items vanished and suddenly people started asking over 300 for them.

Yeah if that first class set goes up for order I’ll likely have to order and pray someone wants to sell me their spare AC Cloud for a fair price.

Tbh I just collect soundtracks and vinyls for the look of them, never actually use them...

Last I checked CDJapan still had them, although may have sold out by now.

That does seem to be MUCH better than before.

Still a bit of a shame that the upcoming 1st class Cloud body (minus head) doesn’t feature any of these improvements.

It just takes too long to release figures to warrant them constantly going back to Cloud. It's been like three, four years since they first showed off Tifa. In the meantime they've showed/teased Noctis, Aerith, Vincent, Yuna, AC Sephiroth, AC Tifa, Dress Cloud, Trooper Cloud, 2B and they're the same guys making all those Naruto figures. Granted only Noctis is actually confirmed to be getting a release and I suspect a lot of these will never fully materialize, but they're teasing stuff at a much faster rate than they're releasing stuff and going back and releasing more of Cloud just causes more delays.

This 1st Class body feels like it's just them selling off excess Zack material tbh.

Your best bet is to either buy this and hope that maybe the Shinra Trooper Cloud gets a release (since it appears it will have an unhelmeted head you could use) and then maybe try to 3D print a different pauldron and sword, or wait and see if that new company ACG does a Cloud, which it sounded like they teased somewhere they're considering (although that's secondhand information, I have not seen the firsthand source and can't confirm it exists).
