Where did you obtain the extra piece from?
Ebay. There was 2-3 listings at the time but they were mostly oversea. They offered international shipping though so I grabbed one.

OT's custom cape came in today. Waaaaaay better drape than the stock cape, which I found way too thick and tarp like. Really happy with this now combined with the ANH cod piece. Would still like a genuine leather outfit with a better draping front tunic but it's not absolutely needed here. Might indulge on a better light up saber down the road.

These shipment batches are getting smaller and just all over the place.
This is shipping sporadically
Umbra comes outta nowhere and ships in a day
Still waiting on late Jan early feb drops of super battle droids and 3po
Clonobi is months overdue .
How hard is it to hit a shipping target that’s six months wide and a year and a half out

For the customizers out there, it's quite interesting to see that HT is using a different body on this Vader.
As far as I know this is the first time they changed it up, all other Vaders used the other one.

Do those extended shoulders allow the arms to sit more flush on the body?
Yeah I assume so.

On my custom I dremeled down the lats, sides and inner triceps for exactly this purpose.

I also shaved down the chest and shoulder bells/deltoids since he was too big overall. But that's because I am using true 1:6 dimensions, whereas HT's parts are about 10% oversized, so the body should be as well then.

I'd love to see these two bodies side by side in terms of height, shoulder width, chest depth, upper body to lower body ratio, etc.

It's the same body they used for the Rogue one figure. What's interesting about this and the Rogue one body is that it's actually a HT Christopher Reeve Superman body with extended shoulders and lower legs below the knee. Kind of funny/interesting given Prowse trained Reeve for Superman.

Ooh I didn't know about the different body on Rogue one, thanks for the info!

So it seems HT uses a different body every time it's not Prowse in costume?

I had one of the plug ins on the control box not work,(is this common?? I saw another collector on FB say he had the same issue) I already contacted SST.
And as for the base, ive connected it, but it does not turn on.. do i use a the same c type phone plug as the control box?? Thanks

Haven’t opened mine yet, but I’ve seen in a few reviews that there’s a switch in the back for different modes. You can have the control box off while the rest of the lights on. They thought it was defective (at first) too, but they just had to flip the switch.

I saw this on another post and its fine now!! Now just want to know about the base.. thanks

Anyone going with a custom wired cape for their Vader?

The stock cape kinda sucks.

Swapped the cod piece to the ANH version. Big difference in size. Tested out putting the tunic over the shoulder armor and I'm liking the way it looks as well. Just waiting on the custom cape to arrive this week and then will consider it done.
